April 2011 Australian Rural Property Market Report PO Box 5326 Alexandra Hills Qld 4161 Ph 0417 002606 Email [email protected] Web site www.australianrural.com.au Overview Agents across all states are reporting that the market is sluggish and whilst there has been increased enquiry from buyers in the last 4 to 6 weeks, buyers are still having difficulty securing finance from the financial institutions for the purchase of rural properties. This month we report on sales in Queensland, NSW and Victoria. As to the best of our knowledge the other states had no auctions occurring during April, but did have a number of properties being offered by Expressions of Interest. We hopefully will be able to report on any successful results as they come to light. Across Queensland, NSW and Victoria we report on a total of 45 auctions taking place in April, the success rate was only 27%. A number of the passed in properties have buyers showing interest and are in discussions with the agents involved, hopefully some success will come from that interest.
