A Family History
In 2006, the Zannier family purchased the property from
the French chef, Marc Veyrat, who had run it as a gourmet
restaurant since 1999. After extensive renovations of the
two existing chalets and the building of the third chalet,
the official opening was in December 2011. Since then, the
hotel has been run only during the winter months. The rest
of the year, the complete property can be rented out for
special private events.
Arnaud Zannier, son of Roger Zannier, is the visionary
behind the hotel project. Initially and still active in the
textile sector (Groupe Zannier), the family decided to enter
this new area of business out of a passion for hospitality.
Ten years after starting and managing his own shoe brand
(n.d.c. made by hand products), he initiated the Megève
project. He was also in charge of all renovations, as well
as architectural and interior design decisions. The property’s unique style thus reflects Arnaud Zannier’s vision of
modern sophisticated hospitality. The materials used are
authentic, but very natural and unfinished. Almost all the
decorative items and furniture are antiques, collected from
around Europe.
Further hotel projects are under development in Asia and
the Mediterranean.

Megève and the Mont-Blanc Region
Megève is located in the Haute-Savoie department in the
Mont-Blanc region of the French Alps. The village is a popular
ski and summer destination due to its beautiful valley,
authentic chalet village, exclusive shopping and culinary
offerings, as well as its proximity to Geneva Airport (one hour
by car).
The village became famous through the Rothschild family
who designated it in the 1920s as a French alternative to
Saint-Moritz. Today, Megève is still a prime destination for
the French and international jetset.
The hotel is conveniently located five minutes from the village
centre (casino and shops) by walking, as well as two minutes’ car drive from the main ski slopes.
The Hotel
The hotel property consists of three separate chalets and is
spread over an area of about 5,000 m2. 12 unique suites and
rooms offer a total capacity of 28 beds. Many of the rooms
can be communicating, thus offering a unique space for
families or groups of friends. The property can easily be
sectioned off, allowing it to function as a hotel or a private
chalet, but it always remains a unique hideaway. Since the
opening, the hotel has been officially ranked as a five-star.

restaurant & wine bar
“La Ferme de Mon Père” – named in reference to the
famous restaurant of Marc Veyrat in 1999, and the connection with the Zannier family (father-son, Roger-Arnaud),
the restaurant is today run by the young French chef,
Julien Burlat. As a childhood friend of Arnaud Zannier,
Julien Burlat shares his appreciation of simple and tasty yet
refined cuisine. Julien Burlat uses local as well as regional
products, with all dishes and ingredients freshly prepared
each day. Open only in the evenings, the menu offers a
choice of meat, fish and vegetarian à la carte dishes as well
as a to-share menu, served family-style in cocottes. Julien
Burlat lives with his family in Antwerp, Belgium, where
he is the owner of a gourmet restaurant, Dôme, a seafood
brasserie, Dôme-sur-mer, and a bakery, Domestic.
New as of winter 2013, the chalet has a wine bar – wine
tastings as well as small to medium sampling meals take
place in a cosy atmosphere.

Located at the entrance level of the hotel, the bar-salon with
panoramic terrace serves as the living room of the Chalet.
It is open all day and serves light meals, great pastries for
teatime at 4 p.m. and fantastic cocktails in the evening.

Indoor pool, steam room, sauna and two massage rooms.
The spa and hygiene products used are from the AESOP
and Aromatherapy Associates brands.
ski room
Ski equipment, instructors and passes are organised by
the concierge. We are partnered with the outdoor brand,
Lacroix Ski.
