Dr Jonathon Duffy MB, BS , FRACGP, Grad Dip App Sci (Nutritional and Environmental Medicine) General Practitioner - Specialising in Biomedical approaches to health care. A Biomedical approach recognises conditions such as Autism, ADHD, allergies, learning and language delay and behavioral disorders as part of a combined Brain-Immune-Digestive problem in the individual, often leading to nutrient deficits, neurotransmitter imbalances and poor immune function. Biomedicine works to correct nutrient deficits and biochemical imbalances with an emphasis on treating the individual for optimal cellular health. Blood, urine, stool and other tests hone in on specific individual deficits in order that therapeutic doses of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and essential fats can be prescribed. Food sensitivities, fatigue, poor sleep, asthma, eczema, irritability, poor concentration, memory issues, mood swings and muscle and joint pain can also be assisted by a Biomedical approach.
