Coastwide Solutions: Not All Microfiber Is Created Equal What is Microfiber? Microfibers are very thin filaments blended from polyester and nylon that have been split to form even thinner fibers (about 1/100th thickness of a strand of hair). These split fibers are then woven to create towels and cloths for cleaning and mopping. What makes microfiber a superior cloth over standard cotton cloths are the split fibers that increase the surface area, enabling the cloth to capture and retain more dirt, mold and allergens. Microfiber significantly reduces water and chemical consumption because of its exceptional cleaning ability. Get Your Floors in Top Shape with the Best Equipment It’s Demo Month at Coastwide. Whether you are gearing up to refinish your gym floors, looking for a safer way to clean those windows, spot treat carpet stains, or make your restrooms sparkle, we have the best equipment and machines for the job. Time to take a test-drive of one of the time-saving and cost-effective options available today. Whatever you’re facing this summer, we’ve got the solution for you! June and July are busy months for demos, so give us a call to get your demo scheduled. How often can it be laundered? Coastwide’s extensive microfiber line can be laundered up to 500 times WITHOUT losing durability. The Benefits of Microfiber Is it bleach-safe? Our bleach-safe cloths allow you to launder cloths and eliminate germs without sacrificing the lifespan and durability of your cloths. Microfiber is made to repel water, attract dust, be absorbent (up to 7 times its weight), and dry quickly. Other rags and paper towels push dirt around, often contaminating the next area you’re about to clean. Microfiber picks up and traps dirt. Whether used dry or wet, you will also no longer leave behind lint, scratches and streaks. Quality and Variety Cheaper microfiber alternatives aren’t knitted for deep cleaning. Does your current cloth have the ability to scrub deeply, pick up dirt in crevices, and eliminate grease, grime and every oily mess? Do you have a smoother knit option to clean delicate glass without scratching the surface? Prevent Cross-Contamination Training and Support With most microfiber, training ends with reading the box it shipped in. With our complete line of Rubbermaid microfiber tools, you can take advantage of the training and support that comes with the brand you can trust. Let us help you train your staff to help them be more efficient and improve worker safety. Color coded cloths help reduce cross contamination by differentiating areas of use. This approach helps simplify the tasks at hand and increase your staff’s productivity. No more second-guessing whether a cleaning cloth was used in the restroom or the office area. What’s the Difference? Not all microfiber is created equal. When selecting microfiber for cleaning and mopping, consider the following: Stop Pushing Dirt Around Whether you are looking for dusting cloths, hand mitts, high-reach dusters, dry and wet mops, or a complete cleaning system, we offer hundreds of ways to make your job easier with microfiber. Give us a call and we’ll set up a site evaluation to show you how microfiber can help simplify your current cleaning processes. Eliminate Can Liner Confusion with AccuFit® Liners Selecting can liners used to be confusing, but not anymore. Accufit® ensures the perfect match every time. With so many can and can liner combinations, it was always a challenge to find the happy medium between using an oversized liner that’s too big for your can (wasting plastic), or using a liner that’s too small and risking it falling into the can. Not to mention all that time your staff spends tying knots in liners for a better fit! Simply look for the AccuFit® logo on your liner case to match the liner to the can. AccuFit® liners fit the Rubbermaid® Commercial Products BRUTE™ can line, along with most other cans. Stop throwing money in the trash by making the switch to AccuFit®.
