Wipe down project with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or dust
Use a bristle brush or foam brush to apply. Usually only one application is necessary.
Let dry if using sandpaper as a method of distressing
1 Select a fine grit sandpaper to start such as a 220-grit.
2. Use a light touch, imagine where the natural wearing would be and use sandpaper
to mimic the passing of time.
3. Use more pressure or larger grit sandpaper to remove more or all paint in distressed areas.

“ Hidden in Nature”
John Winstead Jr. was a navy man. Off duty, he was a family man and an artist,
using pen and ink to bring nature to life. One of the special characteristics of his
work was his ability to incorporate hidden pictures into the drawings. He created
this illustration after returning from duty in the Marshall Islands, the site of nuclear
weapons testing in the early years of the Cold War. In 1987, John died at age 60,
succumbing to leukemia caused by the nuclear testing on his ship.
