Lincoln Square is relatively far from the Lakeshore, in the 47th Ward of Chicago on the North side, so it attracts less tourists than neighborhoods along lake, but the CTA brown line makes it easily accessible. It seemed like a small town square, but with an urban influence, allowing it to maintain a condensed sense of community within the greater community of Chicago. (“About Lincoln Square…”) Fun Facts and Points of Interest Public art: Sides of many buildings contain murals, paintings representing various cultural identities Architecture is diverse: Victorian and modern styles, contains the last work of famous Chicago School architect Louis Sullivan, known for designing the Carson Pirie Scott building and the Auditorium Theatre.
