So, start with darker colors and build up to mid tones and finally work the lights. When mixing the colors allow a little darkening, as acrylics dry to a slightly darker tone. Outline the tracing with the dark blue. When dry swirl some of the blue around the background. Add a tiny amount of white to the blue and mix into the background. Allow to dry. Paint the centre brown. Add a little dark blue to the brown to create the darker brown for the textures in the centre. Add some orange to a fresh amount of brown for the texture and also some dots just in orange. Paint the lower petals orange & brown. The foreground petals in gold, then yellow then finally some highlights with a white and yellow mix.
