BUSNELLI DESIGNERS
Patrick Jouin
Patrick Jouin è un designer francese
nato il 5 giugno 1967 a Nantes. Nel
1988 fonda il proprio studio con
il quale realizza progetti di design
per oggetti, architettura d'interni e
scenografie. Crea oggetti e mobili
realizzati da Ligne Roset, Cassina,
Fermob, Kartell e Alessi. Crea anche
un prototipo di vettura di alta gamma
per la Renault. Nel 1999 incontra
Alain Ducasse, con cui collabora per
la concezione del design di diversi
ristoranti in tutto il mondo, tra i quali
il Plaza Athénée, lo Spoon Byblos, il
Mix (a New York e Las Vegas) ed ha
avuto il compito di lavorare anche al
Jules Verne, al secondo piano della
Tour Eiffel. Numerosi suoi prodotti sono
esposti nelle mostre permanenti di molti
musei in tutto il mondo quali MoMA,
Mudam e del Centro Pompidou,
quest'ultimo ha organizzato nel
2010 l'esposizione "Patrick Jouin - La
sostanza del design". Nel 2011 ha
vinto il Compasso d'Oro per la pentola
Pastapot della Alessi.
Toan Nguyen
Nasce a Parigi nel 1969 e nel 1995 si
laurea in Industrial Design all’ENSCILes Ateliers di Parigi. Dopo diverse
esperienze a Parigi, Barcellona e
Milano, tra cui la collaborazione
decennale con Antonio Citterio come
design director e design partner con
il quale firma progetti per aziende
come: Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia,
Flos, Fusital, Guzzini, Iittala, Kartell,
Metalco, Skantherm, Technogym
e Vitra, nel 2008 Toan Nguyen
avvia il proprio studio di design a
Milano. Toan Nguyen Studio è una
struttura multidisciplinare attiva nel
design a tutto campo, dagli arredi
allo sviluppo di prodotti tecnologici,
in collaborazione con importanti
aziende internazionali basate in Italia,
Germania, Svizzera, Spagna e Stati
Uniti, tra le quali Accademia, Busnelli,
Dedon, Fendi Casa, Laufen, Lema,
Moroso, Urmet Group, Varaschin,
Viccarbe e Walter Knoll.

Franco Poli
Nasce a Padova nel 1950. Terminati
gli studi a Venezia ( Liceo Artistico,
I.U.A.V. e Università Internazionale
dell’Arte ), dal 1974 si dedica
professionalmente alla disciplina del
design svolgendo la sua attività tra
Firenze, Venezia e Verona. Agguerrito
paladino del design italiano, fonda
negli anni ’90 le associazioni A.D.
Veneto e la Camera Italiana del
Design. Docente di Design alla storica
Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia
fino al 1996, è visiting professor al
Politecnico di Milano e all’U. I. A. di
Firenze. Innumerevoli le pubblicazioni,
i premi e le mostre in Italia e nel
mondo. Dal 1977 collabora
con la Bernini s.p.a. della quale
diviene direttore artistico nel 1979.

Umberto Asnago
Umberto Asnago (1949), diplomato
presso l’Istituto d'Arte di Cantù,
inizia l’esperienza di progettista con
la Giorgetti S.p.A. nel 1968 di cui
assume successivamente la direzione
del Centro Ricerche. Nel 2006 lascia
Giorgetti ed intraprende la carriera di
designer a cui affianca l’attività di art
director per Penta Illuminazione.
Dal 2011 torna a collaborare con
la Giorgetti in veste di designer,
inoltre collabora con Arflex,
Besana, Gruppo Industriale Busnelli,
Mobilidea, Ivano Redaelli, I 4
Mariani e Porada. Si occupa anche
di allestimenti fieristici e retail in Italia
e nel mondo. L’esperienza maturata
in tutti questi anni, collaborando con
aziende aventi tipologie diverse e
con noti architetti e personaggi di
cultura fanno di Umberto Asnago un
personaggio adatto ad affrontare
con professionalità le rapide
evoluzioni che caratterizzano il settore
dell’arredamento.
Mario Ferrarini
Mario Ferrarini nasce a Como nel
1978 e studia Industrial Design presso
il politecnico di Milano. Dal 2004
inizia le consulenze con autorevoli
studi internazionali di design e
architettura per lo sviluppo di prodotti,
per gli allestimenti fieristici e l’interior
design. Riceve diversi riconoscimenti,
dal concorso Idee per la Luce nel
2004 al Cristalplant Design Contest in
partnership con Antonio Lupi, oltre a
partecipare a diversi eventi e mostre.
Grazie alle prime collaborazioni
nel 2006 Mario Ferrarini realizza
prodotti per diverse aziende di
respiro internazionale affiancando
competenze trasversali dall'interior

Il componibile Burton rappresenta un’innovazione progettuale del sistema divano, in cui struttura e proporzioni definiscono una
nuova architettura dell’imbottito. Un prodotto sottolineato da volumi squadrati ma con una generosa morbidezza e rotondità
nell’interno bracciolo e nello schienale, tale da creare una sensazione avvolgente di continuità e sensualità di linea.
Burton si compone attraverso un processo di aggregazione unico nel suo genere con una piattaforma in tre diverse profondità
(Burton M 108 cm / Burton S 96 cm / Burton XL 120 cm) più elementi singoli, tre diverse altezze schienale (67 - 72 - 80 cm) e
con due diverse altezze di bracciolo (59 - 67 cm), declinabile in conformazioni molto diverse tra loro, permettendo un’ampia
personalizzazione del sistema divano.
The modular sofa Burton represents a projecting innovation in the sofa system, where structure and proportions define a new
architecture of the product. A square element but with a generous roundness and softness in the interior armrest and backrest, so as
to create a feeling of continuity and enveloping sensuality of lines. Burton is made through a process of aggregation with a unique
platform in three different depths (Burton M 108 cm / Burton S 96 cm / Burton XL 120 cm), several individual elements, three
different backrest heights (67 - 72 - 80 cm) and at two different armrest heights (59 - 67 cm), all declinable in conformations very
different from each other, allowing extensive customization of the sofa system.

The product assumes, according to the depth, different characteristics; these differences, corresponding to the different armrests,
backrests, cushions and roller, define not only the architectural look/aesthetic of the product but also its comfort and the way
of living the sofa; cozy the version of cm. 108; with more impetus with informal seat the version of cm. 120; more rigorous the
version of cm. 96, allowing for easier placement in both big and small environments, as well as in projects of common areas or
living room. The product is also customizable through different cushions: modern whole seat cushion, more traditional double seat
cushion and versatile back cushions of various sizes for an interesting play of volumes alternating full and empty spaces.

The customization of the product does not just happen through its unquestioned versatility of composition but also thanks to

profile. The sofa assumes a sleek and light conformation thanks to the base lifted from the ground, realized by drawn steel with
black chrome plated finish slide. Intersecting features, compositional flexibility and customization make this versatile sofa system

Taylor is a sofa in which the “dress” is customized through the proposal of sophisticated details, such as the seams, multiple
solutions for the cushions, precious finishes and the undisputed comfort of Busnelli.
The sofa is produced with five different typologies of seams for the fabrics and six seams for the leathers, in order to
customize the product according to the needs of the client.
The variety and diversification of cushions, both seat and backrest, allow to change the design of the product from the
most traditional to a design version.

(Amouage SL), quest’ultimo particolarmente adatto anche alle situazioni contract. Il divano è arricchito da un basamento in legno
opzionale dall’elegante e preziosa lavorazione artigianale o da piedini conici che richiamano al passato.
Sofa and armchairs with sinuous lines, enhanced by the manual processing of capitonné, embrace the comfortable sitting as a shell
in which to relax. The product can be customized with whole or integrated seat cushion (Amouage SL), this last version particularly
suitable to contract situations. The sofa is embellished with an optional elegant wooden base and precious craftsmanship or with
conic feet recalling the past.

materiali e nuove tecniche costruttive, in continua evoluzione da parte dell’azienda, hanno permesso di coniugare immagine e
forma con una seduta morbida ed accogliente, risultato di una lunga preparazione e costruzione. Integralmente realizzato a
mano, da manodopera altamente qualificata. Strutture realizzate in massello, multistrato e agglomerato di legno. Il molleggio di

Lady B è un’ampia e avvolgente bergère in cui la ricchezza della texture tridimensionale, sapientemente intagliata nel cuoio
e “rilegata” a mano, conferisce unicità al prodotto, evidenziando la preziosa manualità degli artisti della Busnelli, chiara
espressione del più autentico Made in Italy. La poltrona è inoltre impreziosita da particolari dettagli di lavorazione e confezione.
Il cuscino seduta opportunamente gommato e imbottito assicura un piacevole comfort amplificato dall’elasticità della rete in cuoio.
La struttura esterna è realizzata in tondino di metallo trafilato con finitura black nichel o cromo lucido. La scocca è in cuoio con
taglio brevettato. Il sedile in multistrati di legno ha l’imbottitura in poliuretano espanso indeformabile a densità differenziate senza
C.F.C. e fibra 100% poliestere. Il sedile è sfoderabile esclusa la versione in pelle.

Lady B is a wide and enveloping armchair where the richness of the three-dimensional texture, expertly carved into coach hide and
hand-"bound", gives uniqueness to the product, highlighting the precious craftsmanship of the artists of Busnelli, a clear expression
of the most authentic Made in Italy. The chair is also enhanced by the particular details of processing and confectioning. The seat
cushion well rubbed and padded ensures an enjoyable amplified comfort by the elasticity of the net work in coach hide.
The supporting structure is made of tubular metal with a bright chrome or black chrome finish. The shell is made of coach hide with
patented cutting. The seat is in plywood padded with polyurethane foam at varied densities CFC-free and 100% polyester fibre.
The seat cover is removable except for the leather version.

Italo Corrado è nato il 15 ottobre 1973 a Paderno Dugnano (MI).
Laureato all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera. Artista concettuale,
espressionista-astratto attivo a Milano. Indaga sulle dinamiche
percettive in chiave naturalistica e astratta, misurandosi con i grandi
misteri della psiche. Grazie alla forza dei colori dialoga sulla tela
rappresentando, con sprazi di luci e ombre, il dolore e il piacere,
l’amore e la morte. Nei suoi quadri interviene in modo energico
affrontando le problematiche e le gioie che rimbombano con strani
echi all’interno delle nostre arterie. Nelle sue opere sono raffigurate
riflessioni concettuali su realtà che vibrano grazie al colore e che
rispecchiano un processo di trasformazione che nulla esclude ma in
cui tutto si fonde. Per intraprendere questo viaggio di luci e ombre,
l’artista ci invita ad interrogarci sull’identità dell’uomo di fronte al
proprio destino, grazie a una valenza surreale, coinvolgendoci in
un vortice esplosivo dove la violenza dei toni e la rapidità del tratto
riassumono il pensiero dell’artista, a volte spensierato e sorridente,
altre volte inquietante e angoscioso. Ogni opera ci inabissa
all’interno del nostro io e grazie a questo vorticare irrefrenabile ci
fa riflettere e interrogare sui dualismi tra caos e armonia, violenza
e pace. Italo Corrado si tiene alla larga dal tratto preparatorio in
matita e grazie alle sue bracciate dinamiche e con pochi gesti di
natura istintiva porta a compimento l’opera.
Italo Corrado was born on 15th October 1973 in Paderno Dugnano
(MI). He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera. He’s
a conceptual artist, abstract expressionist active in Milan. He
explores the dynamics of perception in a naturalistic and abstract
way, competing with the great mysteries of the psyche. Thanks to
the strength of the colours on the canvas he represents a dialogue
with spots of light and shadow, pain and pleasure, love and death.
In his paintings he speaks with energy facing problems and joys,
which strangely echo inside our veins. In his works are depicted
conceptual reflections of reality that vibrate through colour and
reflect a process of transformation that excludes nothing but when
everything comes together. To embark on this journey of light and
shadow, the artist invites us to question the identity of the mankind in
front of its own destiny, thanks to a surreal valence, involving us in a
vortex where the explosive violence of tone and speed of the stroke
summarize the thought of the artist, sometimes smiling and carefree,
sometimes disturbing and distressing. Each work plunges us inside
of ourselves and thanks to this unstoppable whirling makes us think

Con questa serie viene concettualmente espressa l’evoluzione del carattere partendo dalla
fase iniziale dell’INFANZIA passando alla GIOVINEZZA. Nell’infanzia il carattere è ancora
acerbo, ha bisogno di maturare e nelle opere è espresso attraverso una pennellata grossolana
e instabile dei parallelepipedi, dai colori tenui e non decisi. La GIOVINEZZA invece è dove
si inizia ad intravedere l’incoscienza e l’imprevedibilità dell’adolescenza, che emerge
nell’opera pittorica grazie al dinamismo dei colori freddi e agghiaccianti. Il terzo carattere
rappresenta la MATURITA’, i colori intensi e caldi del verde e del giallo e il loro equilibrio
rasserenante denotano sicurezza, intraprendenza vitale e soprattutto stabilità. Infine abbiamo
la SAGGEZZA, caratterizzata dalla curata linearità geometrica dei parallelepipedi e dal loro
colore molto deciso, profondo e al tempo stesso omogeneo, privo di sfumature, concreto,
solido, quasi sfacciato e prepotentemente ricco di maturità e saggezza; è constatabile
osservando il continuo, esasperato sovrapporsi di parallelepipedi sempre più curati e sempre
più nitidi e sottili, quasi a voler rappresentare l’assenza del superfluo instabile e grossolano
sostituendolo all’essenza vitale della saggezza più razionale e solida.

With this series the evolution of the character is conceptually expressed, departing from the
initial phase of the childhood, passing through it to finally arrive to the adolescence; In the
childhood the character is still immature, it needs to grow up and this has been expressed
through thick brush strokes, unstable in the parallelepipeds and with soft and not decisive tones.
The youth instead, is where the unconsciousness and the unpredictability of the adolescence
start to flourish, emerging in the pictorial work thanks to the dynamism of the cold colors.
The third character represents the maturity, the intense and warm colors of green and yellow
and their soothing equilibrium denotes security, vital resourcefulness and specially stability.
Finally we have WISDOM, characterized by the accurate geometrical linearity of the
parallelepipeds and its very decisive colors, deep and at the same time homogeneous, free of
shades, concrete, solid, even insolent and strongly rich of maturity and wisdom; it is noticeable
by observing the continuous, exasperated overlapping of the more and more sharp and thin
parallelepipeds even trying to represent the absence of the superfluous instable and coarse,
substituting the vital essence of the more rational and solid wisdom.

Con la serie PSICHE scopriamo i tre motivi che inducono l’individuo ad affrontare le problematiche esistenziali della
vita interagendo con un continuo schianto tra luci e ombre del subconscio umano. Nella prima opera, PSICHE 1, la
pioggia nera che scroscia a catinelle fa emergere inquietudine e dolore. In PSICHE 2 si ha una sensazione vorticosa
che trascina in un mulinello fastidi, depressioni e infelicità e solo grazie ad una causa-effetto si riesce con energica
reazione a uscire con forza e volontà dai problemi, spazzando via ogni sorta di oscurità. Il terzo quadro, PSICHE 3,
rappresenta l’uscita dal tunnel, si aprono i battenti solidi e forti di questo portone che ci ha incatenati e segregati e
finalmente si vede la luce. Dopo la tempesta, torna il sereno …
With the Psiche we discover the three motives that induce the individual to face the existential problematic of life
interacting with a continuous crash between lights and shades of the human subconscious. In the first work, PSICHE 1,
the black rain that heavily drops brings anxiety and pain. In PSICHE 2 there is a whirling sensation that drags a mixture
of hassles, depression and unhappiness, and only thanks to a cause-effect its possible to strongly come out with strength
and willingness from the troubles, sweeping out all trace of darkness. The third work, PSICHE 3, represents the end of
the tunnel, the solid and swinging doors of this doorway that has restrained and segregated us and the light is finally
seen. After the storm, the sun will shine…

Trasportato dall’istinto, Italo Corrado si tuffa in un sogno dal quale si fa coinvolgere con leggerezza, arrivando a
creare un trittico dove, partendo da INSTINCT 1 si passa a INSTINCT 2 fino a INSTINCT 3 . In INSTINCT 1 si intravede
l’unione tra verticalità e orizzontalità, cielo e terra, spirito e materia, in INSTINCT 2 avviene la fusione ed emerge la
materia, il territorio, in INSTINCT 3 si completa attraverso un’identità nitida dove la magia della luna e il suo mistero,
illumina l’immensità del mare, in un notturno da sogno in cui l’istinto è di casa.
Fascinated by instinct, Italo Corrado dives into a dream where he gets involved with lightness, eventually creating
a triptych starting from 1 INSTINCT 1 he switches to INSTINCT 2 till INSTINCT 3. In INSTINCT 1 you can see the
union between verticality and horizontality, sky and earth, spirit and substance; in INSTINCT 2 the melting occurs and
