Family Support is a concept which assumes families are the most valuable caregivers for their child or adult family member with a developmental disability. Family Support is a belief that the family should be supported in whatever way possible to assure that their ability to care for their disabled family member is enhanced and sustained for as long as the living situation remains mutually satisfying, without relinquishing individual identity, respect and self-determination. BYA welcomes youth from Strafford into the program. Teams from age 8-15 are integrated with players from both towns. A granite ledge offers views of wetlands with a Great Blue Heron rookery and views of Teneriffe Mountain in Milton and Acton Ridge in Maine. Within the Middleton Town Forest, this is a 14 acre property. GONIC Drive north on route 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) past exit 18. Drive another 1.5 miles to stop light. Turn left onto route 125. Take immediate right onto Access Rd., straight past Pont Rd (on left), past a brown house on left to fork. Park on side of road. Continue on foot up left fork heading northwest.
