WHAT IS FAMILY SUPPORT?
Family Support is a concept which assumes families are the most
valuable caregivers for their child or adult family member with a
developmental disability.
Family Support is a belief that the family should be supported in
whatever way possible to assure that their ability to care for their
disabled family member is enhanced and sustained for as long as the
living situation remains mutually satisfying, without relinquishing
individual identity, respect and self-determination.

Family Support is the practice of doing whatever it takes to provide

The BYA has 40 teams that play at a complex on Smoke Street that
has 2 T-ball fields, 4 fields for 7-12 baseball/softball, 1 Babe Ruth
field, pitching machines & batting cage, a 2 story building with full
concession & meeting room upstairs, equipment building with
restrooms & separate equipment lockers, 3 large parking lots &
electric scoreboards. BYA welcomes youth from Strafford into the
program. Teams from age 8-15 are integrated with players from both
towns.

maintains a carry-in boat access. Pond access is posted on the

through underpass under RR tracks. Bear left to the Ritzman Lot,
next to the trailhead.

Piper Mountain

Piper Mountain is a hilltop above the town of Middleton. Follow 1
mile of gentle uphill trails to a path on the left. The final 1/4 mile
is much steeper but worth the effort. A granite ledge offers views
of wetlands with a Great Blue Heron rookery and views of
Teneriffe Mountain in Milton and Acton Ridge in Maine. Within
the Middleton Town Forest, this is a 14 acre property.
GONIC
Drive north on route 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) past exit 18. Drive
another 1.5 miles to stop light. Turn left onto route 125. Take
immediate right onto Access Rd., straight past Pont Rd (on left),
past a brown house on left to fork. Park on side of road. Continue
on foot up left fork heading northwest.

Managed by the NH Dept. of Fish & Game, Jones Brook features
extensive forests, several ponds, streams, and wetlands. There are
3 mountains located in the area—Moose, Perkins, and Rand.
These separate Jones Pond and Mountain Pond. Jones Pond is .5
mile walk.
Drive on Spaulding Turnpike to exit 15 and merge onto route 11.
Continue 4.5 miles to light and turn right onto Route 153. Continue 6 miles to junction of Route 153 and Kings Highway. Middleton Lumber is on your left. Continue straight for 3.5 miles to
small parking area on the right. Gated trail head.
