FLU CLINIC THANK YOU
Public Health would like to thank all those who participated in the Mass Flu Clinic in Gunnison last week on Oct. 7.
It was a huge success and we appreciate all the volunteers who
helped. We vaccinated over 470 individuals (both adults and
children).
Those volunteers included nurses Lisa Loughran,
Michelle Robertson, Donna Nielsen, Jean Kelley, Christine
Holbrook, Laura McLoughlin, Marilyn Reilly, Lori Kelly, Barb
Hammond, Pharmacy students Bridger Singer and Morgan
Strum, EMTs Matt Minor and Casey Obermeyer, DHS staff
Sherri Dietz, Kelly Meldrum and Rita Cordova, GPD Keith
Robinson and Chris Wilson, Emergency Manager Scott
Morrill with volunteers Arden Anderson and Steve Rogers,
County Coroner Frank Vader, Hinsdale EPR coordinator
Carol Lynn Schuller, and 14 students from WSCU Professor
Maria Struble’s class along with all the wonderful Public
Health staff.
We will hold another Flu Clinic for the public at CB
Town Hall on Oct. 21 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.. walk-in for
adults and children. Insurance, Medicaid and Medicare Part
B accepted or donation of $25.

newly formed local 501c3 nonprofit organization, are offering a
FREE mapping workshop to gather geospatial data on winter outdoor recreation in the Gunnison
Valley. The info will be used to
determine where recreationists
like to play, address conflict
zones, and promote access. The
workshop will include hands-on
digital and physical data entry,
review and validation. Bring knowledge of local trails, skin tracks,
etc. Your personal GPS tracks and

THE CITY OF GUNNISON is
accepting bids for LED post type
retrofit kits that produce no up
light to replace 175 watt metal
halide and 250 watt HPS equivalent fixtures. Mounting brackets
and hardware shall be specific to
our Hadco and Holophane ornamental street light fixtures. Bids
shall be per fixture and the total
number of fixtures will be determined by bid price. Bids are due
by 1:30pm on October 29th,
2015 and will be opened at
