TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE TOXTETH HOTEL
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS
A function booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a signed copy of the Terms and Conditions Agreement along
with a deposit $500 (for functions from January to October) and $1,500 (for functions in November and December).
The balance of payment is due 7 days prior to the event, with any additional charges paid at the conclusion of the
event. If the agreed minimum spend it not reached at the completion of the event the function/event organiser will be
held responsible to pay the difference with the manager on duty.
Events held on public holidays will be charged a surcharge. This surcharge will be outlined in your event costing.
CANCELLATIONS
In the event of cancellation of a confirmed function more than 60 days prior to the date of the function a full refund
of the deposit will be given by the Hotel. Cancellations of confirmed events within 60 days of the date of the function
shall result in the deposit being non-refundable. Cancellations of events within 72 hours of the function date shall
result in the client being liable for 100% of the cost of the event. All other costs incurred by the hotel for a cancelled
event shall be charged to the client at the discretion of Hotel management.
PRICE CHANGES
All prices may be subject to change at management’s discretion. Every possible effort is taken to maintain prices
and we will notify you of any changes.
DAMAGE
For the safety of our function room and hotel guests, certain events may require security guards in attendance for
the duration of the event. The cost per guard is $40.00 per hour and depending on the number of guests in
attendance would depend on the number of guards required; this will be at the discretion of the Managers.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
The Toxteth Hotel practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Intoxicated guests will not be served.
It is a requirement of law that intoxicated persons be removed from the licensed premises.
No liquor will be served to minors (under 18 years of age).
MINORS
Minors will need to have a parent or guardian with them at all times. It is up to the duty manager on site
to deem fit appropriate if the minor should leave the premises.
If any person under 18 attending the function is attempting to consume alcohol, the function
will be terminated immediately.
BEHAVIOUR
The Toxteth Hotel reserve the right to terminate your event if your behaviour or that of any member(s) in our
opinion, cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to other customers, other members of the party, employees,
property or anyone else who has a right to be on the site where the event is taking place. We cannot accept liability
for the behaviour of others or any persons taking part in any event associated and/or in the same event
environment which forms part of your event(s). People caught in the possession of drugs will be removed from the
premises immediately and directed to the appropriate authorities.
DECORATIONS
You are free to decorate the room as you please, however no confetti, tape, glue or nails are to be used.
Any damage to the building, furniture or property during the evening and immediately following the event
will be the responsibility of the Hiring Parties´ including repairs or replacements.
LOSS OF GOODS
Loss of personal belongings/delivery of goods: it is the responsibility of the Hiring Parties’ to be responsible
for their own goods and equipment. The Toxteth will not take responsibility for any damaged or loss items
before, during or after a function.
TERMS & CONDITIONS AGREEMENT
The minimum spend charge is dependent on the time booked, the final number of guests
and the confirmed catering arrangements. Minimum spends are applicable.
