Cómpeta Properties Where our priority is you! Our villages C ómpeta is a white village in the Axarqia region of eastern Andalucia. It is located on the edge of the National Park at the foot of the Sierra Almijara mountains. Maroma, the highest peak of the Sierra Almijara, stands majestically in the distance. The region attracts visitors who come to enjoy a range of outdoor activities, active and not so active. Many people paint, draw, walk, hike, bike, treck or just relax and lay by the pool. In addition to the scenery, flora and fauna the region is also famous for it’s local wine. The inhabitants of each of the neighbouring villages will tell you that their particular variety is far superior to that of any other village, the only way to prove the theory is to taste! The village has a long history dating back to and beyond the time when the Moors ruled the land.
