access to nearby Bern and other centers.
The apartment plot sits at the edge of the settlement; one side
close to an exclusive residential area, the other to farmland, a
natural forest and the beautiful Stockeren sandstone cliffs. This

For those wishing to become part of the Bolligen community,
it offers all the necessary facilities and attractions. The center

Once serving the community as its quarry, the Stockeren sandstone cliffs now create a beauty spot against a forest backdrop.
The color and beautiful straight-edge forms of these cliffs
inspired the architects in their creation process so the Q AT
HOME in Bolligen has a block-like shape and a very white hue.
Like the people of the distant past, who “carved” cavities into
the Stockeren stones to build their dwellings, the modern
stone-like block of today encloses the homes of modern families.
The Stockeren cliffs are a dominating feature of the local landscape, so too is the building Q AT HOME in Bolligen. It stands
proudly in its place, catching the attention of passers-by.

STUNNING ARCHITECTURE,
AT YOUR DOORSTEP
Being contemporary and minimalist, Q AT HOME in Bolligen
stands out from neighboring buildings with its sleek and
intriguing form. But this is not excellent architecture just for
its own sake – the concept has been carefully thought out to
make the most of the building’s surroundings.
As a consequence, one side of the building nestles alongside
the street, providing privacy and easy access, the other faces
an expanse of openness in the direction of the green fields
and mountains. It features a honeycomb-like structure that is
defined by dynamic lines serving as frames for extensive glass
surfaces which replace traditional walls.
This extreme transparency, together with large balconies,
allows for the maximum amount of light inside the apartments and for the best panoramas of the surrounding countryside. Just imagine yourself standing on your balcony and
looking out into the distance…
For all of the Q AT HOME in Bolligen residents to feel AT
HOME, the place features neatly landscaped grounds with a

TAKING ADVANTAGE
OF THE OUTSIDE VIEWS
The beautiful outer structure cocoons the inside of the building to house eight generous apartments which are flooded in
natural light and an indoor-outdoor feel.
There is a combined kitchen, dining and living area facing the
peaceful valley while the bedrooms and bathrooms sit on the
other side, closed in for seclusion. The outward-looking living-dining area is open plan and airy with the highlight being
the immense glazed windows, which actually double up as
the glass outer walls. From here you enter the large modern
terrace or the garden, depending on which floor your apartment sits on.

By contrast, private spaces are situated on the other side of
the inner corridor, and feature a more structured layout and
cozier look. Most of the apartments contain two bathrooms,
one being accessible from the corridor, and the other en-suite.
Depending on your personal needs, you have a choice of one,
two or three bedroom apartments that range from 62 to 185
square meters.
You will also appreciate the common areas of an ample and
elegant entrance hall, bicycle storage, underground parking
and an elevator.

The interior finishing of the building has been created as
a continuity of the white hue and crispiness of its facade.
Thus you enter the sleek contemporary space of the foyer
characterized by a light colour palette and luxurious chrome
detailing. This style is a key to all the common areas including
the elevator and underground parking. Inside your apartment,
although we recommend the overall look to be white and
fresh, and the bedrooms more cozy, it is you who has the
final word. So you could decide on different finishing – for
example a darker one.
This is all possible with our three design packages, giving you
different interior styles to opt for.

CHOOSING YOUR VERY OWN
DESIGN PACKAGE
With our three design packages you can choose between different treatments of your apartment’s oak wooden parquet as well
as stone type with which your bathrooms will be finished. This
way your floor will be light, dark or natural, and the bathroom
defined by white marble, black granite or warm sandstone. The
choices go further giving you colour options for hallway cupboards
and kitchen units.
Thanks to this differentiation your place can gain an individual style
and represent black-and-white modernism, Japanese minimalism
or just a friendly natural look – whatever you are most comfortable
with.
For more comfort, an optional Security Package (including video
surveillance, burglar proof windows and doors as well as additional
alarm systems) is available on request.

INTRODUCING THE PASSSIONATE
PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROJECT
Q AT HOME in Bolligen is a development of SWISS PROPERTY
and benefits from the exceptional position of the company in the
Swiss real estate market. The building was primarily designed
by Daluz Gonzalez Architekten, who was commissioned after
winning the architectural competition for this project. The SWISS
PROPERTY team then took over for further detailed planning and
execution. On the way, we decided to build the structure in solid
wood rather than concrete and by doing so extended the building’s sustainability. We, members of different SWISS PROPERTY
Group departments, have all enjoyed working on this project so
far and are very excited for the final result.
Daluz Gonzalez Architekten stands for creative individuals, who,
united by their common approach to architecture, have worked
together in their Zurich studio since 2007. Their view on architecture is one that fulfills the highest design aesthetics and meets the
needs of inhabitants without compromising the project’s authentic
environment. Because of this shared philosophy, Daluz Gonzalez
Architekten have completed many successful and award-winning
buildings. Each of their projects are characterised by bold, geometric and large-scale structures which appear as though effortlessly
integrated into the natural environment.
