Family Science Night
Wow, what a great turn out for Family Science Night. It was great to see everyone,
enjoy a meal, and learn about Physics. We are thankful to all who were able to come
and hope students enjoyed the class time portion as well. Also, thank you to the Bend
Education Foundation for supporting the event, and the Rosland staff who were able to
attend and serve the delicious meal. Kudos to Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Newcomb for
organizing the evening!
No School, Report Cards & Conferences
Just wanted to remind everyone that there is no school tomorrow for students so
teachers can complete report cards. These report cards will be mailed to you early
next week. The report cards focus on students progress in the first semester and will
indicate current skills.
Spring Conferences are not scheduled to coincide with first semester report cards, but
will take place March 2nd and 3rd. These conferences will be focused on growth in the
month after the report card as well as goals and expectations for students both
academically and socially. You will be getting conference time request forms soon.
When you do, please take note of and complete the “Menu” portion and return them to
school as soon as possible. This will help guide our planning for our time together.
Continued Support
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our
At Home Reading Program. Please continue to have
students complete their assigned reading minutes each night/
week. These minutes are not only helping us complete our
school goal of Reading 500,000 minutes, but helping to
improve student’s skills in all academic areas.
Happy February,
Mrs. Williams
