HISTORY
From the production of carbon dioxide
to the manufaturing of valves
1922
1930 - 1950
1947
Foundation of CEODEUX S.A. in Lintgen by August Theodore SCHMITZ for
the manufacturing of Carbon Dioxide for the Luxembourgian market.
First developments and fabrication of valves for industrial gases and fire
suppression.
Edgard Schmitz takes over the management of CEODEUX S.A.
1950 - 1970
Development of the first valves for cylinders and carburation valves for
Butane-Propane.
1970 - 1980
Jean-Claude Schmitz enters the management of the company and starts an
ambitious expansion plan. Creation of a specialized R&D department. Sales
start on a European level.
1980 - 1990
ROTAREX goes global. Creation of ROTAREX S.A., regrouping all the
companies of the group including the historic Ceodeux. Businessunits are
created in order to better serve the customers needs. Expansion of the sales
network throughout Europe and opening of the first office in the USA,
Pittsburgh PA.
1990 - 2000
Futher increase of the R&D and production capabilities on a global scale
Establishement of numerous sales offices throughout the world: Tokyo,
Singapore, Seoul, Moscow, Sao Paulo
2000 - till today
Creation of Rotarex Automotive.
Rotarex enters the Hydrogen age with numerous Industrial and
Automotive partners.
Opening of a manufacturing plant and office in Shanghai China.
Opening of a logostics center in Campinas Brasil.
Establishement of a distributors network on a global scale.
