MARE DE DÉU DEL REBOLLET History of the building The church where the Virgin of Rebollet is worshipped and the convent of which it formed a part were built to house the Oliva Franciscan community who resided in the Nuestra Señora del Pino convent (in the current district of San Antonio) from the mid-15th century. Like the castle at Rebollet, it was devastated by the earthquake that struck the area in 1598. The new convent and its church were built on land given by the 6th Count of Oliva (7th Duke of Gandía), Carlos Francisco de Borja-Centelles y Upper windows ƚƵƌŶĞĚƚŚĞĐŚƵƌĐŚŝŶƚŽĂǁŝŶĞƌLJ͕ŝƚǁĂƐŶŽƚƵŶƟůϭϴϱϯƚŚĂƚ it was acquired by eleven farmers and members of the Third Franciscan Order.
