Everyone has to start somewhere. We are proud to say our roots date back
to 1901, when the manufacturing business Sweeney was founded.
The seeds of today’s business were sown in the 1970s with the creation
of two dynamic companies - Hydratight (later to become Hydratight
Sweeney) and Hedley Purvis. In 2005, the two businesses were acquired
by Actuant Corporation and integrated to form a single new
organisation - Hydratight.
Over the years, our name may have changed, but one thing has remained
the same: a visionary approach to developing new products and delivering
world-class service always and everywhere.

it on. Every customer is invited to learn through our dedicated,
International Training Academy.
To date, more than 4,700 candidates, from graduates to HSE Offshore
Inspectors, operators to pipefitters, have attended accredited and
custom designed courses at Hydratight training facilities.
Hydratight is the only company to offer City and Guilds accredited
subsea bolting and machining courses, now widely accepted as the
best in the world. This is all part of our plan to reduce leakages on
all assets industry-wide.
