COMPATIBLE PHACO-ACCESSORIES
Medicel offers a complete range of sterile-packed intra-operative single-use instruments for cataract surgery, including phaco tips with
suitable infusion-sleeves, I/A instruments and accessories. The products are compatible with most surgical systems and facilitate traditional surgical techniques as well as the bi-manual and coaxial techniques used in micro-incision surgery. Medicel offers a full range
of titanium phaco tips for standard surgical techniques as well as micro-incision surgery.
Thanks to a fully automated manufacturing process performed around the clock, Medicel is in a position to make high quality compatible phaco-accessories affordable.
PHACO TIPS
All Medicel phaco tips (single-use, multiple-use and reusable) are made of
high grade titanium and come with a high-polish finish.
Latest machining technologies enable manufacturing of extremely small
titanium tips with an inner diameter of as small as 0.4 mm and an outer
diameter of less than 0.7 mm. In combination with the 23G infusion sleeves
from Medicel, COMICS procedures can be performed through incisions of
sub 2.00 mm without compromise on safety, efficiency and control.
The standard reusable phaco tip range includes CLASSIC, MICROSONIC as well as flared HYPERSONIC needles. For bi-manual and
co-axial micro-incision surgery, straight SUBSONIC, flared NANO and
COMICS-SUB2 tips are available.
Medicel stainless-steel phaco-wrenches ensure precise and efficient tightening and unscrewing of the tips.

COOLFLOW INFUSION SLEEVES
Medicel COOLFLOW infusion sleeves are made from liquid medical-grade silicone and are manufactured on highprecision moulds in-house. COOLFLOW sleeves are designed to ensure maximal thermal protection to the cornea
whilst maintaining a close and stable chamber.
COOLFLOW infusion sleeves are available for 19G, 20G, 21G and 23G phaco tips for incisions of 2.8 mm to sub
2.00 mm.
During phaco-emulsification, temperatures of 60°C can occur at the phaco tip, resulting in corneal tissue damage. Corneal burns and anterior chamber collapse have been proven to be a major obstacle in micro-invasive phacotechniques. The COOLFLOWplus rigid infusion sleeve eliminates all of the problems associated with sealed small-incision phaco-techniques, providing maximum safety to the patient whilst performing efficient high-vacuum procedures.
COOLFLOWplus rigid thermal protection infusion sleeves are available in the 19G and 20G version.

SINGLE-USE PHACO-ACCESSORIES SET
The FIRST LINE single-use phaco-accessories from Medicel designed for traditional phaco but also bi-manual and coaxial microincision surgery come in convenient dispenser boxes with 10 sterile
sets.
Each set contains 1 titanium-tip with tip-wrench, 1 infusion sleeve,
1 test chamber and 1 spare wrench
All FIRST LINE phaco-sets can be complemented with a singleuse bi-manual or mono-manual I/A system.
MULTIPLE-USE PHACO-ACCESSORIES SET
Sterile FIRST LINE multiple-use phaco-accessories including
phaco tip, autoclavable wrench and infusion sleeve are supplied in convenient dispenser boxes containing 10 blister-sets.
Components can be autoclaved at 121°C/20 min or 134°C/5
min up to 10 times.
REUSABLE PHACO TIPS AND INFUSION SLEEVES
Medicel non-sterile, reusable phaco tips come in boxes of 6 units
and are packed together with cleaning and resterilisation instructions.
The same applies for our reusable infusion sleeves.
