spring term - Cumnor House School
F rom the beginning of January, Little Acorns have been looking at travel. They have made a big red bus with self portraits on the board. We looked at hot air ballons and some of the children were so clever that they followed a pattern. They blew feathers into the air along with bubbles and balloons. Some children extended their ideas of how to use the balloons. SPRING TERM “Sit down baby” said Amyrah T T T F his week Reception boys have been reading and responding to the story ‘The Great Pet Sale’ by Mick Inkpen. hey listened to the story and answered questions such as ‘why’ and ‘what’ which helped to develop their comprehension skills. he boys then made a ‘Ratty’ puppet. They used the puppet to support their work by understanding speech, then they confidently wrote something they remember from the story that Ratty said. avourite phrases that the boys wrote were, ‘I am only one pence, choose me.’ The boys have worked extremely hard this week and we are very proud of them.
