Ibiza Summer Season 2015
- All you need to know!
A new Ibiza summer has knocked at our doors,
ready to burst into blossom. Looking into a crystal
ball, we can assure you it’s going to be hot, loud
and wonderful. Here is a quick breakdown of the
long-awaited comebacks, astonishing moves and
unexpected alliances that season 2015 is bringing
to the table.
First and foremost, the wandering minstrels are
back in town! Vagabundos by Luciano are taking
over Sundays in Space on a weekly basis. There
have been many popular, massive, packed parties
on the island, but hardly any was loved as cordially
as Vagabundos. Since they dropped off the radars
in 2013, morphing into Luciano & Friends and
lately Origins, we always suspected that black and

white top hats would
make a triumphant
return
one day. Opening and
closing
dates, as well as the line-ups for this and other
parties can be found in our calendar.
As anyone who visited the island in the past 17
years can easily remember, Sundays at Space
always belonged to We Love, a festival-style event
that set on fire both big and small rooms of the
club. That was the party that put Space on the
international clubbing map and turned the venue
into a true Ibiza sensation. Yet times change, vibes
change: in 2015 We Love for the first time ever will
take place in Sankeys on Wednesdays. A more
intimate ambiance will certainly help punters
After Booom, the small stylish
upstart of the Golden Mile of Ibiza,
was forced to shut its doors forever
too prematurely, its parties had to
look for a new shelter. Suara did so
literally, teaming up with Shelter, the
new Friday night by Ibiza Rocks team in
Sankeys. Glitterbox put their bets on Space
terrace on Fridays. Defected moved in with
Together, taking over Amnesia terrace on
Tuesdays and launching probably the most
surprising partnership of the year. Taking into
account the difference between the sound of
the two dancefloors, the guests of this night will
never have a chance to get bored.
However, this year the mix-and-match prinicple
is the purposeful policy of Amnesia: La Troya has
moved to share Sunday nights with The House
of Madness, and Paris Hilton’s Foam & Diamonds
have been sent to Saturdays to reinforce Matinee.
This cleared the way for HYTE, another techno
party, that has landed on Wednesdays, right
between Cocoon and Music On. The arrival of
HYTE brought about a certain redistribution of
DJs: Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, Chris Liebing and
Pan-Pot among others will now be the residents
of this aspiring newcomer. Well, Ibiza’s appetite for
techno is unquenchable, after all. Read the PanPot interview on page 10!
After the disastrous Gatecrasher season, Eden
club is back under its original name. With its
superb décor, light and sound this venue
definitely deserves a better destiny. So far, five
nights have been confirmed: Colors Festival
on Mondays (trance party by Alex Cunnari that
used to take place in Es Paradis), the telltalenamed Harder, Faster on Tuesdays, Cubbo on
Thursdays (hard techno event with headquarters
in Barcelona), the return of Judgement by Judge
Jules on Fridays, and Faux Basement on Saturdays
(deep house paradise).
On the free party front, Beach House is stepping
up its stakes. Every Tuesday it will host Diynamic
Outdoors, which is bound to be a blast – who
wouldn’t like to listen to Solomun for free and
al fresco? Same applies to Sundays when Guy
Gerber is taking over the lovely beach venue from
5 pm until midnight.
Another staple of Playa d’en Bossa dancing in
the open, tINI & the Gang, has moved to the
minimalistic cutting-edge beach club of No
Name. This happened due to the fact that Sands
doesn’t exist anymore: now this venue belongs
to Nassau and goes by the name of Nassau Tanit
Beach.
The most exciting news of the season, however, is
connected with DC10. The label of the moment,
Life & Death will be hosting weekly parties there
from July 31 till August 28. We’ve all been so
looking forward to it, and the wish came true.

Welcome to Ibiza, chicos! You two
have had a lot of experience on this
island playing for superstars like Carl Cox and
Marco Carola. This season you will be returning to
Amnesia for seven dates for the brand new HYTE party
on Wednesdays. This will be probably your most intense
Ibiza season so far, how are you preparing for the summer professionally and mentally?
Tassilo: We’re very happy and excited to be back on the island,
especially as we know we’ll be here the whole summer more or
less. The island has something magic in the air and it is always a
true pleasure to be back - professionally and mentally. The best
preparation is healthy food, loads of sports and a lot of new, fresh
and unreleased music for your ears.
Thomas: The Ibiza season is always very intense. Every gig is a real
commitment (mentally and professionally). But yes, we are more
than ready to get it started.
What is your relation with the HYTE brand and
how did your involvement with the Ibiza events
come about?
Tassilo: We have been playing for several HYTE shows during last
year. The line up and locations are great and for us it is a great
opportunity to be lined up with other artist friends. It’s also the
event brand of our booking agency and so it makes sense.
Thomas: Our first time in Ibiza was in 2011 for Cocoon at
Amnesia with Loco Dice and Sven Väth. It was our first ever live
performance. This is how we started out on the island :)
It’s always an exciting challenge to launch a new night
among the established big players in Ibiza. What is it that
HYTE will bring to the scene on the island, and what do
you think will make it stand out from all the other nights?
Tassilo: They are very professional and the whole crew has
lots of experience on every level. Definitely Ibiza goers are
already familiar with most of the heavy weight acts booked
for this season but what makes a party different from an other

is probably the overall atmosphere and how
the performances of a night are build up by
each artist and how these follow each other.
Thomas: Details like the distribution of set
times according to the type of performance
of the artist are very important for example.
You will play both rooms in Amnesia, the
Main Room as well as the Terrace for some
other dates. How will this influence your
sets, if at all?
Tassilo: It is not really the place itself, but the
atmosphere on the dance floor and you can
feel it as soon as you cross the doors of a club.
This is what influences our sets the most.
Thomas: Clearly the main room dance floor
is darker and the sound is different than the
terrace, this will give us the chance of playing
different kind of sets.
The other big HYTE residents will be Loco
Dice, Maceo Plex and Chris Liebing. How
would you compare your style of music
with the sets of these guys?
Tassilo: We all come from the same scene and
probably share the same musical ideas and
even similar backgrounds.
Thomas: But comparing in general is not easy
to do as I think all of us like a broad variety
of Techno and know how to use it :) Every
artist has its own style and approach to
the decks and this is what makes an
event interesting.

Tassilo: Our first time in Ibiza was in 2011 for
Cocoon at Amnesia with Loco Dice and Sven
Väth. It was our first ever live performance. We
were been so nervous as we never played live
before. It felt like being at a school exam and
felt so relieved after we finished :)
Thomas: Something memorable: the after
party with Sven Väth in someone’ s Villa,
somewhere in the mountains, with people
we didn’t know. It was crazy and fun.
Are you up for any afterhours or you do
prefer to unwind and go home to chill
after your sets?
Tassilo: It depends on whether we have
gigs the day after or we had the day
before. Afterhours are fun and also a good
opportunity to socialize with
people who have
been working
at the club
such

you the whole night. But I personally prefer
to enjoy some rest before catching the next
flight.
Thomas: I would always catch the moment if I
could but yes, it really depends.
Where in Ibiza will you spend your days
off? What are your favourite places to
hang out, eat and drink?
Thomas: We hopefully will find out during this
summer, so far we did not have much time to
explore the island.
Tassilo: Fishshac
You are from Berlin and must
know the electronic music
scene there very well.
What main differences
would you see between
the parties and the
crowd in Berlin and
those in Ibiza?
Tassilo: Berlin has
smaller and (beautifully illegal) venues and a
more compact crowd. The party atmosphere
is maybe more intimate than in Ibiza.
Thomas: The music scene in Berlin is a cultural
factor. However it is still growing and lacks of
the professional infrastructure that the Ibiza
scene offers.
You both had a thorough education in
your job as graduates of an electronic
music producer degree. With other people
succeeding only with a laptop in their
bedrooms,
why
would
you recommend a
professional

training and in what ways
does it help you in creating your music?
Tassilo: We do not recommend one way
rather than another - this is just what we did
and it worked for us. We decided to go for
a professional audio education as we were
interested in having this as a profession.
Besides that I’m really into working in a studio
on all kinds of music :)
Thomas: Everyone should find its on way and
go for it. Inner success will follow because you
enjoy what you do.
You are young artists who made it, so what
kind of advice would you give to aspiring,
talented producers and DJs?
Tassilo: Don’t do music if it’s not fun for you.
Thomas: No need to buy tons of expensive
gears - creative thinking, focus, true and
enthusiasm will do most part of the job.
As you both spend so much time
together professionally, what was the last

argument between you two
about?
Tassilo: Cuba Libre or Champaign?! :)
And vice versa, in what ways do you
support each other?
Tassilo: Mutual understanding, championship
and acceptance of differences of the other.
Thomas: basically like a good married couple. :)
What crazy headline would you like to
read about you after your first set for HYTE
this summer?
Tassilo: “Pan-Pot missed their flight after their
gig in Ibiza - again!” - it means it was a good
night! ;)

Ushuaïa:
The Never-Ending Triumph of EDM
Ushuaïa is the tailor-made EDM venue of Ibiza. Last season it found its perfect programming
that will only slightly change this summer by shifting a few dates and bringing something
new and juicy to the table.
No matter when you come here, you can be sure to see DJs of the premiere league,
accompanied by young budding talents, playing under the blue Balearic skies to a smart and
sexy crowd. The line-ups for the most events are yet to be revealed at the moment of writing,

but the headliners
are
already
distributed
through
their
correspondent days of the week. The
production is always superb, with plenty
of dancers, acrobats, confetti and fireworks.
The doors open mostly at 5 pm and the
party lasts till midnight, with the most
spectacular and emotionally loaded time
slot being, of course, sunset.
However, there is one peculiarity: while
some other Ibiza clubs are boasting
heavyweight line-ups right from May
till October, Ushuaïa is pretty much
concentrated on July and August. There
will definitely be some entertainment on
Mondays from June 25 till August 31 will
be once again David Guetta’s day. This time
his ultra-successful party is themed ‘Pool
position’, which is utmost truth in Ushuaïa’s
case – it is the unique hotel of Ibiza where
pool is used more as a decoration for openair events rather than for swimming and
sunbathing.
Tuesdays from June 23 to September 8
welcome Hardwell back with ‘Carnival’
theme hinting at especially luxurious
production. Before the star arrives, his label
Revealed recordings will host two parties at
Ushuaïa, on June 9 and June 16.
Axwell and Ingrosso will be ruling on
Wednesdays from July 1 to August 26.

Avicii, who is
smashing it right now with his
latest Waiting For Love hit, will
be on duty on Sundays once again, from
July 12 till August 30.
Swedish House Mafia
revolutionized electronic
music and deserve to be called the
godfathers of EDM. Even though only two
of them will be rocking it in Ushuaïa, it is still
a milestone of a party.
In order not to leave the middle of the
week empty in the absence of the Swedes,
La Familia by Nic Fanciulli and Joris Voorn
will take care of Wednesdays in June and
September. Their concept (also built around
mafia aesthetics, by the way) made a very
confident debut in Ushuaïa at the end of
previous season and is it be continued.
Armin van Buuren will be in A State Of
Trance every Thursday from June 25 till
September 17. His line-ups are already
revealed: the blond Dutchman will be
sharing the decks with John Dahlback,
Cosmic Gate, Orjan Nilsen, Aly & Fila and
several worthy young talents.

ANTS on Saturdays is the only party that
starts at 3 pm (and finishes at midnight, just
like the others) and has the longest season
as well: from June 5 till September 26.
Andrea Oliva will be playing almost every
week, and the weekly line-ups are scattered
with such names as Maya Jane Coles, Ben
Pearce, DJ Sneak, Catz’N’Dogz, Los Suruba
and many others.
On the one-off front, on July 31 Ushuaïa
will once again welcome BBC Radio 1
event, but the details for that are yet to be
disclosed.
On August 1 the Ibiza edition of Creamfields
will take over all the complex of Ushuaïa,
including The Tower, that will be invaded
by ANTS, and Hard Rock Hotel, where a
concert of The Prodigy will take place.
Annie Mac, Afrojack, Above & Beyond,
Steve Angello, MK, Pendulum and many
others are billed for this date as well.

The most urban
basement of Ibiza
Ibiza is deservedly referred to as the clubbing capital of the world, yet it’s mainly focused on
house and techno music. Live pop and rock concerts, reggae and ethnic melodies, hardcore
and psy trance – all of this is represented in much smaller doses, and you really need to be in
the know of where and when to catch it.

hotel, it’s a club with a difference that clearly
distinguishes itself from the neighbouring
establishments. Concentrated solely on
urban culture, it encompasses the broadest
spectrum of music, from rap to trap, from
house to hip-hop, from funk to oldschool,
and is open 7 nights per week.
Those who live in hotels or apartments
nearby will find it particularly comfortable to
walk to the club on foot, the others will never
get lost on their way.
Sometimes it requires long drives to the opposite side of the island and getting lost, especially
if it’s your second or third time in Ibiza and you conceitedly decide that you are cool enough
to be the driver.
On Mondays DJ Irwan, who earlier made a
name for himself in Holland, the U.A.E. and
Asia, delivers his trademark mix of electronic
beats, R’n’B and live vocals. To get a notion
of how he sounds, think of Sidney Samson
or Hardwell with a palpable urban influence.
Swag, a stylish 1200 capacity venue in the very centre of Playa d’en Bossa, is a pleasantly
unlikely case that breaks the pattern. Located in the cozy basement by the popular Garbi
Tuesdays are all about ladies. Swag Loves
Girls night by Fixers Ibiza promo team
involves only female DJs, a
sexiest show and outstandingly
cool feminine vibes.
On Wednesdays a promoter from DJ
Chuckie’s camp has launched Cirqus party
that is devoted to a hot mix of urban and
electronic tunes.
Thursdays night go by the telltale Xcandalous
name, revealing the incomparable sexiness
of all the guests, male and female. DJs of
international fame provide the soundtrack.
Black List VIP Party on Fridays is a result
of New York and the U.A.E. cooperation.
Whether you are going to dance to the sets
of some A-list DJs or indulge in celebrityspotting in the jetset cosmopolitan crowd,
mind that reservations are essential for this
event.
Saturdays are ruled by Soul2Soul, German
experts in black music. Here they book top
radio and nightclubs DJs and throw parties

Run IBZ’s UK edition are taking over
Sundays in their second season. Operating
under ‘Nothing but the Bass’ slogan, they
preach that grimey sound that makes your
ribcage vibrate.
The crowd at Swag dresses to make a
statement. Heels, jerseys, caps or haute
couture pieces coupled with tattoos and
piercings – anything goes to accentuate
the stance of this trendy, outspoken public.
Those who want utmost comfort nestle
in one of the 3 VIP areas, others are having
the time of their lives in the middle of the
dancefloor, fully exposed to the power of
local light and sound systems. The venue
is equally well equipped both for DJ sets

and live performances, and its
vibes are absolutely unique. While
the most popular clubs on the island are
hangar-sized premises where a person
immediately gets lots in the crowd, Swag
allows for more privacy and intimacy. Every
visitor is an individuality and is clearly singled
out from the throng.
Watch out for their seductive promoters
who will be parading along the beaches,
tempting holiday-makers to join them and
pay a visit to the notorious basement in the
evening. The privileged location of Swag
and its total dedication to urban culture,
previously under-represented on the island,
make it a truly outstanding nightlife spot and
a box to be ticked.

Eden Nightclub
Eden seems to be experiencing a well-deserved revival this year. After a superb
refurbishment in 2013 and the unsuccessful attempt to turn into Gatecrasher Ibiza in 2014,
the club is back under its original name, with impressive multi-leveled interior and VOID’s
first Gold Incubus soundsystem.
The opening party on May 27 surpassed all expectations – even those who have been
staying away from the club for over a decade got impressed by the positive vibes of the
venue’s new reincarnation.
The programming for the season is diverse and innovative enough to satisfy customers of all tastes
and ages. Mondays from June 8 to September 7 are devoted to trance thanks to Colors Festival
with Alex Kunnari, Chicane, Richard Durand, Roger Shah and others. Judge Jules, who used to
be the torchbearer of the genre for many years, is back of Fridays from June 19 to September 11

with his Judgement party,
supported by the EDX,
Charlie Hedges, D.O.D.
and the likes.
Some used to complain
that Ibiza was too much
focused on sleek commercial
sound that lacked raw power – not anymore.
Every Thursday from June 11 till September
10 revelers will have a chance to experience
the harder side of techno. CUBBO nights from
Barcelona are bringing Alexander Kowalski,
Marco Bailey, Uto Karem and Secret Cinema
to San Antonio, ready to smash it in a most
uncompromising way. Harder Faster Tuesdays
from June till 16 September 1 go even further
and have booked the unstoppable gang of
Kutski, Alex Kidd, Da Tweekaz and Tidy Boys
(for whom it will be the last ever Ibiza gig).
Purely underground deep tech
lovers will appreciate Faux Basement
Saturdays until September 19 with
Tom Novy, Purple Disco Machine,
Copyright and Jon Fitz. EDM kids will be
catered for by Midnight Ibiza on Wednesdays
from July 1 till September 2 with Third Party,
Blinders, Justin Prime and South Central.
Next, the new small room of 400 persons
capacity and a separate entrance, will be
functioning as a mini-club in its own right.
On Mondays starting with Nick Warren
accompanied by Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke
Kleijn, Guy Mantzur and 16 Bit Lolitas will be
spinning finest tunes at Sound Garden party.
Every Tuesday local Ibicenco affair LaNoire
will be representing their underground
Nomad concept. UK garage beats by Sun City
will be taking over Thursdays from June 25
onwards, Saturdays will belong to tech-house
beats of Detroit, and Sundays with a pretty
diverse selection of music from glamorous
house to energetic techno.

HYTE at Amnesia
HYTE at Amnesia must be the most coveted newcomer of the season. Landing on Wednesdays
from June 3 till September 30, it is taking over both dancefloors of the club. Its arrival has sent La
Troya to Sundays to form an alliance with The House of Madness, and Foam & Diamonds by Paris
Hilton to Saturdays for a joint venture with Matinee.
After hosting events in Berlin, New York, Amsterdam and Barcelona and accumulating 20 years
of experience in Ibiza, HYTE are bringing to the island all their professional enthusiasm, a loyal
and eager fanbase and a slew of fantastic line-ups.
They have secured some of the most beloved Ibiza DJs as their residents: techno powerhouse
Loco Dice, the hypnotic and multi-faceted Maceo Plex, the geyser of energy that is Chris Liebing
and the uncompromising duo Pan-Pot, as well as DJ Tennis, DJ Harvey, Mar-T, Dewalta, Who
and Cuartero.

Looking at the full season
line-ups, a few special
days can be singled out:
On August 12 Chris Liebing will perform a
5-hour set, live performances by Guti are
scheduled for June 10 and September 16,
and those by Henrik Schwarz on June 24
and August 26. Marcel Dettmann, Rødhåd,
John Talabot, Kenny Dope, Robert Hood as
Floorplan and Cajmere are all billed as special
guests on their correspondent dates.
Loco Dice, whose absence last summer made
punters crave for his presence behind the
decks more than ever, will be present roughly
every second week. Most likely he will be
involved the closing on September 30 as
well, but the
line-up for this
special night is yet to be announced.
Some may say: “Aren’t there enough
techno nights in Ibiza? And in Amnesia in
particular?”. Nope, there is still a long way
to go till saturation. Music On on Fridays
gets so insanely packed that it’s very wise to
offer to punters a new alternative of a similar
sound. As for Wednesdays, the strongest
competition comes from A Planet Called
Paradise by Jamie Jones in DC10 – and again,
this party normally gets so full that it would
only benefit from getting unloaded a little bit.
In other words, the demand is clearly here,
and the supply has just been increased.
With the convincing and minimalistic “Blah
blah blah” slogan and the predictably black
colour scheme (with small touches of red and
white), HYTE is coming to conquer, and they
are very likely to win.

It’s hard no to be seduced by the words ‘old abandoned Zoo’. In fact, it’s hard to think of three
more intriguing words in the English language. So add the fact that the Zoo in question is
in Ibiza and also home to one of the White Isle’s best-loved daytime raves, and you’ve got
yourself an adventure just waiting to happen.
Heading into its ninth season on Ibiza, The Zoo Project is arguably the last place on the island
where you can truly get down with nature under the sunshine and stars. Nestled in the forest
hills of the village of Benimussa, the old abandoned Zoo is just as romantic as it sounds!

Each and every Saturday, thousands of
partiers flock to The Zoo Project, losing
themselves (and finding themselves
all over again!) in the huge venue that
encompasses four open-air arenas of music
and performance, swimming pool, market
stalls, holistic centre that is the Mandala
Garden, food offerings, art installations,
interactive
performances,
massage,
healing therapies, group meditations and
numerous secret gardens and hidden
corners to hide away in. Space to dance and
endless areas to explore, The Zoo Project
couldn’t be further from the typical Ibiza
clubbing experience.
As always,
the
Zoo
team have been busy through the
winter making improvements at the venue
and their collaboration with location and
event design specialists, Goldstube Ibiza,
has really paid off. Continuing their ethos
of using reclaimed and vintage materials,
all four outdoor arenas go back to nature in
2015 and the visual effect is stunning. The
blend between forest and fiesta is seamless.
The attention to detail is at the heart of
everything The Zoo Project does and
nowhere is this better represented within
the party than the Mandala Garden. At first

glance,
the bamboo stall-lined circle with a handpainted mandala at its heart appears to be
the one of the most elaborate chill-out areas
you’ll find in Ibiza, but on closer inspection
it’s so much more. Live ethnic music, tarot
reading, massage, guided meditations, a
host of healing and wellness treatments, art
therapy and visual performance can all be
expected on a typical Saturday afternoon.
Anyone who’s been to The Zoo Project
before will undoubtedly remember one
of the weird and wonderful performers
gracing the stage at the Zoo and a whole
new performance team joins the Zoo in
2015. Performance at The Zoo Project seeks
to break down barriers between audience
and artists and among the surprises this
year, partiers are invited to perform in a
Zoo Movie Experiment with members of
the audience acting out key scenes every
week.
The music policy at The Zoo Project has long
been one of the most forward thinking in
Ibiza and 2015 looks set to be no exception.
The party has so much to offer besides the
music that the promoters are free to book

the music they believe
in without the compromise of losing
punters through the door. Expect a vibrant
mix of emerging talent playing alongside
electronic music pioneers. Highlights this
summer include an exclusive live set from
Florian Meindl, two summer sets each for
UK favourites George Fitzgerald and Paul
Woolford as well as performances from
Audio Werner, Thomas Melchior, Honey
Dijon, Carola Pisaturo and Tuccillo.
‘Another Dimension’ is the party theme at
The Zoo Project in 2015 and walking around
the vast venue and the various delights on
offer, it really does feel like entering another
dimension. A carnivalesque mini-festival in
some of the most blissful surroundings in
Ibiza, we highly recommend a lost Saturday
in the old abandoned Zoo.

Having snapped up Loco Dice, Maceo Plex,
Pan-Pot and Chris Liebing for residency, the
promising upstart won’t fail to deliver.
Amnesia
Old Faces and New Alliances
In the last couple of seasons Amnesia has been arguably the most commercially successful
club on the island. This got possible due to skillful and diverse programming, that has
undergone major changes this summer. Only three nights remained untouched.
One of them is Cocoon, the principal techno citadel of Ibiza since the end of last century. Papa
Sven and his camaraderie will be smashing it every week from June 1 till Monday 28 without
Origins as Luciano has left to Space to revive his effervescent Cadenza Vagabundos project.
However, Ricardo Villalobos is proudly back for as much as 6 dates, and Solomun will play his
debut set for Cocoon on July 13.
The second party that didn’t move from its old haunt is Cream on Thursdays from June 11 till
September 17. This year the colossal event has ditched EDM sound and relies on trance for

the main room and on diverse facets of big
room house (from Fedde le Grand to Duke
Dumont) for the Terrace.
Finally, Music On in its fourth season on
Fridays from June 5 till September 25 shows
great stability. The line-ups are more or less
similar with the previous year, and Marco
Carola goes on being the main draw for the
most nights (except probably for the dates
when Carl Cox, Apollonia and Jamie Jones
accompany him behind the decks).
The only party newcomer of the season is
HYTE, techno juggernaut that landed on
Wednesdays from June 3 to September 30,
right in between Cocoon and Music On.
Tuesdays from June 9 till September 22 will
see a surprising and engaging collaboration
of Together and Defected. The Main Room
will be devoted to electro and bass sound,
adored by the younger generation. Defected
were looking for a new home on the island
after Booom prematurely shut down, and
now will be in charge of the Amnesia Terrace.
Paris Hilton is enjoying the longest season
of her Foam & Diamonds party ever, taking
over Main Room on Saturdays from July 18 to
September 12. The Terrace from June 13 till
September 26 will be occupied by the lush
flamboyance of Matinee, as usual.
On Sundays from June 28 to September 13
EDM kids will be jumping on the Terrace
to the sounds of the House of Madness by
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. A more mature
and gay-friendly audience will indulge in the
sweetest sins of La Troya in the Main Room
– and this is the last shift in Amnesia party
schedule 2015.

Yes, he is back: Carl Cox runs his iconic ‚Music is Revolution‘ events from July 7 for 12 dates
throughout the summer of 2015. As one of the busiest, most talked about and successful
parties in Ibiza, Carl’s nights at Space are synonymous with world-class DJ talent and, by the
look of the line-ups that have been confirmed for the season, continues to remain at the
forefront of forward thinking dance music.
Carls Manager Lynn Cosgrave says: “We are so excited about this year and we really feel the lineup is one of our best in 14 years - forward thinking and amazing talent. Tuesdays will be rocking
once again this summer.”

for
the
confirmed artists for July, starting on the
7th, with the Swedish bass-juggler Adam
Beyer. Beyer‘s uncompromising techno
sound has become extremely en-vogue
again and for this exclusive opening date
in the Main Room he will be joined by
his loving wife Ida Engberg in what is to
become a marrital back2back extravaganza.
Highlight of the second date in July will be
the techno mayhem that is going down
in the main room: Before Carl‘s set he will
welcome the Italian shooting star Joseph
Capriati, well known to the Ibizan audience
by his long sets in the Amnesia Main Room
for Music On with Marco Carola.
Carola himself will be back too, by the way.
The two have gone back2back before so
expect some surprises and Carola‘s huge
Italian following on the dancefloor for July
21st. For this night the Terrace is looking
particularly tasty as well with confirmed
appearances by the British school of
techno
and house with Nic
Fanciulli, long-time partner in
crime of Cox, and Alan Fitzpatrick, a man
who not only shares the same haircut with
Carl but also his impeccable taste of good
music.
For the last July date Cox invites friends and
close collaborateurs for his big birthday
party, featuring Nicole Moudaber, Guti and
Jon Rundell. Having your birthday during
summer, what could be better than to
throw your birthday party at your favourite
club in the world?
All this dancefloor action at Space will be
acompanied by an infamous pre-party on
a boat: “Float your boat” cruises will start
from San Antonio harbour, every Tuesday
in July from 6pm, with three hours of fun,
good music by your favourite artists and
the incredible Ibiza sunset. Look out for the

Monday dreamin’
and beyond
This year the opening of DC10 on May 25 was even more mind-blowing than usual. It
happened due to the fact that the openings of Space, Amnesia and Ushuaïa were still ahead,
and the crowd arrived to Circo Loco as fresh as a daisy.
The mammoth party that has been instrumental to the evolution of clubbing on the world scale
has chosen an absolutely spot-on motto for this season: ‘Monday dreamin’. Jamie Jones, Apollonia,
Dubfire, Kerri Chandler, Tania Vulcano & co were superb, but it was Black Coffee who totally stole the
show with his masterful mixing and impeccable selection of tunes. The line-ups for the upcoming
installments of Circo Loco will be traditionally revealed week-by-week, just before the next Monday.
The closing is scheduled for October 5, and the doors will open at 4.30pm.
Wednesdays from July 1 till September 23 will once again be ruled by Jamie Jones and his A
Planet Called Paradise project. Judging by the line-ups, it looks like both rooms will host their

own DJ team every night, which endows
Paradise with the status of allegedly the
fastest growing party of the whole island.
Richy Ahmed, Patrick Topping, Waff, Russ
Yallop, Mark Jenkins, Luca Cazal, Dungeon
Meat and Robert James have been
proclaimed residents, while Jamie Principle,
Matador, Bob Moses, Mr.G, Kink, Popof, Guti,
Mathew Jonson and Benoit & Sergio will all
be playing live.
The futuristic artwork promises a truly
otherworldly experience by turning the
tiny lizard as the symbol of Ibiza into an
almighty turquoise creature with saucepans
flying right in front of its nose. Unlike Circo
Loco, this is a night time party that starts at
midnight and lasts till dawn.
And now the biggest and boldest news:
Life & Death, the indisputable label of the
moment, is taking over Fridays from July 31
till August 28 (night time again). Tale of Us
will be performing every week, joined by
either Recondite, or Ten Walls, or DJ Tennis,
or the likes. The imprint has been responsible
for a few biggest hits of the previous seasons,
such as Sailor & I’s “Turn Around” (Âme Remix)
in 2014 and Ten Walls’ “Requiem” in 2013.
It has also released tunes by Maceo Plex,
Mind Against, Thugfucker and amazed fans
by highly philosophical black and white
artworks, so there is no doubt this party will
be a revelation.
In the last few seasons DC10 has turned
into a much sleeker place with comfortable
flooring, but has developed another bad
habit instead: it gets packed early. Don’t get
focused on a pre-party too much – here it’s
always advisable to arrive on time.

Space Ibiza
Space has geared up for another fabulous season that will see its most powerful events
come back on a weekly basis, and two of established island’s parties relocate under the
club’s welcoming roof.
The surrounding area of Playa d’en Bossa is getting more and more glamorous every year
with old hotels being refurbished into new 5* haunts and the most expensive restaurants
in the world springing up at a 5 minutes walking distance from Bora Bora. In spite of that,
Space doesn’t change its priorities and remains the stronghold of pure fun with no axes to
grind and music of the highest quality.

Vagabundos by Luciano
are making a triumphant
comeback after a two-year
hiatus. With doors opening at 8 pm, the
vagabonds will be turning to debauchery
every week until September 27. The lineups are pretty much reminiscent of what
the island was going gaga over a couple
of seasons ago: Cesar Merveille, dOP,
Ernesto Ferreyra, Mirko Loko and, of course,
Luciano. The major action will take place
on the Terrace, while the Main Room will
receive Detroit Love by Carl Craig on June
14, July 12, August 9 and September 6 and
Fridays from June 12 to September 25
welcome the house and disco affair of
Glitterbox by Defected. Last summer
this party brilliantly debuted at Booom,
attracting the numerous lovers of the
classical dance music sound. Todd Terry,
David Morales, Louie Vega, Joey Negro and
Purple Disco Machine among others will
take to the decks, Hercules & Love Affair
will perform live on July 3 and August 28
a Space.
Clandestin pres. Full On Ibiza moved to
Mondays from June 1 till September 28.
Ferry Corsten as the mastermind of the
project has invited Aly & Fila, Cosmic
Gate, John O’Callaghan and Marco V to
accompany him in this admirably long
journey.
The never-ending revolution of Carl Cox,
dubbed The Next Phase this season,
will reside on Tuesdays from July 7 to

the Terrace with his Circus concept on July
14, August 11 and September 15, and Intec
label showcases are scheduled for July 28
and August 25.
The black and mysterious ENTER. will be
casting a spell on punters every Thursday
from July 2 to September 17 with doors
open at 9 pm. As usual, there will be four
rooms in play: ENTER.Terrace, ENTER.
Sake, ENTER.Mind and ENTER.CNTRL. Each

guest DJ will get a
chance to perform in each area only
once, to make it more challenging from the
artists’ prospect, and more exciting from
the punter’s. Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Marcel
Dettmann and Sven Väth will be among
those guest DJs, and the resident team this
year will consist of Bella Sarris, Fabio Florido,
Hito, Matador, Matthew Hawtin and Tm404.
The joint venture of Kehakuma and El Row
on Saturdays from June 6 till September 26
turns into ménage à trois: KER club from
Barcelona will be in charge of the Sunset
Terrace with such artists as Ralph Lawson,
Ray Okpara or Re.You. El Row themselves
booked Seth Troxler, Paco Osuna, Groove
Armada and Art Department, each of
whom will be the cherry on top of this
colourful frenzy. Kehakuma has gone
slightly less experimental, and the
highlights of their line-ups throughout the
season will probably be Darius Syrossian
b2b Santé b2b Sidney Charles and Tania
Vulcano b2b Jose de Divina.

coming back
to easy-going glam roots
When Pacha Ibiza opened its doors in 1973 it was located in the middle of nowhere: naysayers
actively discouraged the Urgells from opening a disco that far away from any other point
of social attraction. Now the legendary two cherries find themselves in the very epicenter
of jetset action, just five minutes walk away from yacht moorings and all the glamorous
restaurants of the Marina.

must-go for every clubber who likes
it hot.
This seems to be affecting
the vibes and music policy of the club. After
an attempt to change the course and delve
into more unusual and underground vibes
(signing Guy Gerber for a weekly residency,
inviting Ibiza Rocks crew to host a party full
of frenzy and unannounced guests), this
summer sees Pacha come back to its roots
of a more universally digestible house and
the atmosphere that can be characterized
as “easy-going glam”. Some go there for a
full night out, waiting for their favourite DJ
to spin, others drop in randomly in search for
a party after a lively dinner with friends. With
this sort of programming, there is hardly a
chance to leave unsatisfied.
F*** Me I’m Famous, the party that manages

to stay miraculously
relevant no matter how times change, is
back on Thursdays from May 28 to October
1. Its legendary host David Guetta will be
present every week except September 10, 17
and 24, when replaced by Nicky Romero and
either Chuckie or R3hab. Year in, year out, the
main tip remains the same: arrive early to
make sure you come in.
Solomun, whose sound lately has moved
to much techier realms, is back on Sundays
from May 24 till October 4. For his stunning
Solomun + 1 concept he will be joined
by such artists as Pete Tong, Miss Kittin,
Audiofly, Butch and, believe it or not, Sven
Väth, who will be performing at Pacha on
September 20 for the first time in 20 years, in
The one and only Flower Power by DJ Piti
will keep on rocking Tuesdays from June 2
till September 22. Start your night out with
walking around Ibiza port with the aim of
catching the colourful hippie promo parade
and have a few shots with them (which
means both drinks and pictures).
After a sparkling debut season, Aoki’s
Playhouse has moved to Mondays from May
25 till September 28. Steve Aoki might not
be throwing cakes in your face anymore, but
his drive is as infectious as always. The host
of the party will be joined by such DJs as DJ
Snake, NERVO, A-Trak, Sander van Doorn and
others, but mind it that Steve himself will be
absent on May 25, June 1 and June 22.
The only new party at Pacha this year is Martin
Solveig pres. My House on Wednesdays from
May 27 till September 30. Technically, it’s
not that new at all: Solveig used to have a
residency
in
Pacha
for over a decade,
and
last
summer he co-hosted Pure Pacha on
Saturdays. Now this brilliant showman and
the purveyor of electric new disco is setting
out on a journey of his own, supported
but Tiga, Kaskade, Diplo, Laidback Luke,
2manydjs and others.
Pure Pacha on Saturdays from May 23 till
October 3 will be themed as Paris by Night
and hosted by Bob Sinclar weekly. Teaming
up with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Masters
at Work, Kenny Dope and Idris Elba, the
Frenchman will take care of that very special
night of the week when even those who
have to work from nine to five do go out.
Insane on Fridays from May 22 to October 2
remains the bastion for very diverse forms of
underground house. No matter which week
you arrive, you will witness either MK or John
Digweed on duties, plus the likes of Hot
Since 82, Tensnake, Groove Armada, Amine
Edge & DANCE and such. Some call it the
hidden gem of Pacha Ibiza, we tend to agree.

Sankeys’
Soap Opera Goes On
Sankeys hit the headlines hard twice this season. The first breaking news was about We Love, the
seminal feature of Space on Sundays for 17 years, that moved to Sankeys on Wednesdays. Acquiring
a more intimate feeling and turning to boutique format, We Love will take place from June 17 till
September 30. Artists such as Sasha, Hannah Wants, Gorgon City, Dusky and Âme are all confirmed
to play.
The second news was of a more scandalous character: Sankeys fell apart with one of their most
staunch residents, Darius Syrossian. Darius left together with two companions-in-arms, Sidney
Charles and Santé, to launch their own Do Not Sleep event in Privilege on Sundays and play b2b2b
elsewhere.
Tribal Sessions, curated by Syrossian last year, moved from Wednesdays to Tuesdays, with the
opening scheduled for May 26 and the closing for September 29. Levon Vincent will be appearing
behind the decks monthly, and on August 4 no one else than DJ Snoopadelic will arrive in style.

Another event of the similar caliber, Viva
Warriors on Sundays, will be happening from
May 31 to October 4, occupying all the three
rooms of the club. The mastermind of the
party, Steve Lawler, will be supported by Nick
Curly, Dennis Ferrer, Robert Dietz, Skream and
the likes.
Magna Carta is back on Saturdays from May
23 till September 26. Alex Arnout, East End
Dubs, Leftwing & Cody, Max Chapman and No
Artificial Colours will show you what it means
“to dance till you drop”.
The traditionally tough Monday night from
June 1 to September 28 was given to Amine
Edge & DANCE and their gang. Sleazy G-house
vibes are an irresistible draw, indeed.
Now to the novelties. Thursdays from June 11
till September 24 will
belong to Redlight, a party that originates
from the golden days of Sankeys Soap in
Manchester. The S-Man (aka Roger Sanchez),

Another newcomer, Shelter, was created in
cooperation with Ibiza Rocks crew and is
located on Fridays from May 22 to September
25. The collaborative events with Bugged Out,
Moda Black, Bondax & Friends and Food Music
will quickly turn it into a roadblock. Suara, the
infamous “Kitties wanna dance” party, will be in
charge of the LAB starting from June 26.

When you think of boat parties in Ibiza, Cirque
de la Nuit would probably be the first to come
to your mind. Established in 2013, this brand
is a true revelation for those who love to listen
to house, deep house and techno in the open,
under the blue skies, on a beautiful boat.
CDLN (this is the abbreviation the party normally
goes by) sets sail almost daily from Playa d’en
Bossa. This will be the hottest part of your day in
every sense of the word!

Troxler, tINI, DJ Sneak, Nicole Moudaber, Darius

Sonica Radio and Wunderground Music, which
helps to deliver the sound of Cirque de la Nuit to

CDLN in the centre
of Playa d’en Bossa,
right near Sankeys. This is also
the place to exchange your previously
purchased ticket with the boarding pass.
The boat is leaving from Playa d’en Bossa
jetty, which is a short walking distance away,
just by Hotel Tres Carabelas.
When at sea, you will be enjoying 3 hours of
open bar that includes all of your favourite
Balearic drinks, from beer to sangria and from
mojito to champagne, everything offered by the
hospitable waiters. A swim stop will help you to
cool down on your way to Formentera or along
the coast of Ibiza, with professional life guards
making sure everyone is safe and sound.
By the way, regarding the sound. This season
the 300 capacity strong catamaran of CDLN
has inherited the VOID system that used to be
installed in Sankeys Basement. It is powerful,
crispy
and
impressive enough
to revolutionize your
notion of a typical boat party.
Moreover, if you buy a ticket for the boat, it
grants you free entry to Sankeys before 12.30
am at any night (not necessarily right after the
boat).
After coming back to dry land, you will be
invited to spend 3 hours at Hostal CDLN,
where free char-grilled BBQ will be on offer
with various side dishes. Again, you won’t be
obliged to use this invitation straight after the
boat – feel free to choose any day you like,
from 9 pm till midnight. After all, isn’t a boat
party all about freedom and spontaneity?

I’m huddled on the dancefloor,
glass of Sangria in one hand, a slice
of fresh pineapple in the other, Es Vedra to my
right, Ibiza to my left, the sun overhead and the
sound of quality house music drifting on the sea
breeze. Life is good! Very good! If only I could do
this every Saturday...
The Ibiza boat party has become a rite of passage
for the thousands of party people who flock
to the White Isle every week throughout the
summer and Noah’s Ark, the official Zoo Project
Boat Party, is one of the wildest in the Balearic
waters. Each and every Saturday, hundreds of
ravers board the ark, hitting the high seas of the
Mediterranean
on a voyage to
the mystical island
of Es Vedra accompanied by a Zoo entourage of
acrobats, dancers, a couple of gorillas and the
occasional panda. The Zoo on the waves is not
for the faint-hearted!
Each week, a selection of Zoo artists play
alongside special guest DJs providing a bespoke
soundtrack of house and techno. When I set sail
with the Noah’s Ark crew for this year’s opening
party back in May, none other than Secondcity
captained the DJ booth. The UK house producer,
best known for last year’s summer anthem ‘I
Wanna Feel’ served up the perfect dose of basstinged grooves occasionally going back-to-back
with rising Liverpool talent Kydus.
The boat is fully
equipped
with a Function One sound system so
there’s no holding back whatsoever when it
comes to sound. By the time we hit Es Vedra,
the boat is truly rocking! Free food and drink is
included with every ticket as well as free entry,
transport and queue jump for the legendary
daytime fiesta The Zoo Project so there’s none of
the usual discussions afterwards about where to
keep the party going. Everyone on board moves
as one to the Zoo so before you know it you’re
giving it everything, hands in the air, lost across
four open-air arenas of music and performance.
All in all, Noah’s Ark is the perfect way to start
your Zoo experience. Food, drink, dancing and
a dip in the ocean before heading straight to the
old abandoned Zoo to get down with nature
under the sun and stars. Noah’s Ark sets sail
every Saturday from San Antonio harbor until
26th September.
