It was held at Mustang Alley in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Membership ReportWe had enough toy donations that we filled three boxes. It was great to see some East and was a great success. familiar faces and meet some new people as well. Based on the feedback from those who attended, it looks like the bowling party will be the leading contender for party ideas next year as well. On the National level, Billy Smith, FASPE, is the Interim Director/CEO while the Society looks for a more permanent solution. Billy Smith recently joined the Society as the Senior Director of Technical and Regulatory Affairs in May of this year. Smith has represented the interests of ASPE and the plumbing engineering community in code and standards activities as well as serving as a technical resource for the ASPE staff and membership. Smith has been working on building relationships with other industry organizations to ensure that the public’s health and safety are kept at the forefront of legislation and regulations regarding plumbing system design, installation, inspection, and maintenance. Membership Dues Hardship Waiver Society offers a hardship waiver for members who have lost their jobs. Go to www.aspe.org for more details on applying for this benefit. You may not think this helps, but it allows a member to stay active and take advantage of ASPE programs, both local and national. Membership Report Andrew Cahill Vice President - Membership The holidays are again behind us as we look forward to a new year. I hope everyone enjoyed a happy and relaxing holiday season. But as all good things must come to an end, we find ourselves back to the grind in the blink of an eye. I am happy to report the addition of a new member to the Baltimore Chapter, Joshua Meles, P.E., who officially joined us on December 1, 2014. We will look forward to meeting Joshua at one of our upcoming spring meetings. I hear change is afoot with our local chapter and am hopeful it brings a renewed level of involvement from our engineering community.
