Kathleen and John Bernaden spent months researching and
shopping for an RV as he prepared to retire in June as corporate
affairs director at Rockwell Automation Inc. in Milwaukee. Check
out his new ride. They were briefly quoted in an article in the Wall
Street
Journal
about
RV
Sales
in
America.
http://on.wsj.com/1OlsWP2
The Rotary Club of Milwaukee’s 102nd President was John
Bernaden. The Milwaukee Club also hosted the US Large Rotary
Club leadership conference in the fall of 2015. John has been a
Rotarian since 2008. He is currently serving his third year on the
Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Marquette University College
of Communications and former editor of the Marquette Tribune
newspaper in 1978. John is married to Kathleen, a retired
nurse. They have four children and two grandchildren. He enjoys
being a private pilot, travel, and many community relations activities.

CENTRAL Zone Fall Rolling Rotarians Rally at Burnett TX
November 12 – 15, 2015
Wagonmasters - Mike and Mary Pinson
There were plenty of cowboys and cowgirls camping out at the Big Chief RV Resort on the banks of Lake
Buchannan in the Texas Hill Country during our fall rally. The roundup included Clyde & Janice Glosson,
Keith & Sharon Gaudy, Jim & Bonnie Mobley, Denny & Cathy Pfaltzgraff, Mike & Mary Pinson, Dean &
Lettie Rucker, Warren & Linda Townsend as well as two past Rotary RV Fellowship past presidents and their
partners, Bob & Joyce Hamblin and Richard & Lynne Ward.
Our first round up featured grub rustled up by all the ranch hands when we met Mike & Janie Case and the
“Retro Gals” Glenda Thomas and Pat Starr who were introduced as temporary ranch hands. We hope they
hire on with us again.
Many rode the range to Burnet, Mason and Llano scouting out the area restaurants, antique shops, craft shows,
& etc. As a posse might have ridden out of town looking for bad people, we rode out together for a Mexican
lunch & later visited a winery for a wine tasting. Fortunately we didn’t have to slaughter one of the little
doggies for our steaks & hamburgers. Our bedrolls stayed dry in our own little bunkhouses the one evening it
rained when we caravanned over to Llano where we chowed down at the famous Badu House which was built
as a private home in the 1850’s. But I think the ranch hands will agree that the best fellowship was around the
campfire (really round tables in the rally house) for breakfast and, of course, attitude adjustment times.
As we parted Sunday morning one could almost hear Roy & Dale Evans singing “Happy Trails to You, Until
We Meet Again” when Dick & Mives Baggett becomes the Wagon Masters.
Trail Masters,
Mike & Mary Pinson
EASTERN Zone Fall Rally at Crystal River FL
November 6, 2015
Wagonmasters – Jim and Becky Jones
Stone Crab Jam 2015 in Crystal River Florida
The mini rally at the Stone Crab Jam was again a great success in Crystal River, Florida. The 4 RVF rigs
arrived at the Jim and Becky Jones home on Friday the 6th of November. They proceeded to help with the many
signs to place for the event.
Friday all went to dinner at the Pecks Plantation (9.3 miles off HWY 19-you know for sure as all the prices
end in $.93) which has become a tradition. Friday signs (which the whole crew, who arrived later Friday,
claimed few in number) were put up by the advance team (Jones and Farr) with the balance done Saturday
followed by all enjoying the Jam. The group included the Farrs, Loths, Browns, Smiths and Jones.
Again this year the Sunday Brunch pot luck was overwhelming! The Crystal River Clubs raise 40 to 50
thousand dollars with the Jams.
Take care! James o smith
EDITORS NOTE:
THIS IS AN IMPROMTU RALLY THAT IS HAPPENING EVERY YEAR IN NOVEMBER. IF
YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR AND LET JIM (or any other
participant above) KNOW YOU ARE INTERESTED. INFORMATION IS NOT ALWAYS PUT IN
THE NEWSLETTER.

private sportsman's club and now the best Kansas City,
Missouri Fishing camp.
No State License Needed!
...and every size in between can be caught in our
private lakes!
The lakes are stocked with catfish, bass, crappie, bluegill and carp.
As these are private lakes, no state license is required, but there are limits and a small fee charged.
