• Adopted in 1988
• Land Use Map is generally consistent with existing
zoning
• Town is currently updating the Comprehensive Plan;
modifications of current zoning may be recommended

Relevant Goals:
• Encourage preservation of environmentally sensitive features
• Improve housing choice by encouraging a balance of types
• Encourage development with high aesthetic standards...that
will be compatible with surrounding land uses

• Roadway grade is greater than 6 percent

• Roadway curvature on some segments:
– Pleasant Lane to Cameli Drive (DPW Project)

• Traffic volume on CR 93 ranges from 7,000 to 18,000
vehicles per day
• Highest volumes are between Route 9 and CR 94
• The PM peak hour (around 5-6PM) represents the highest
volume period
• The busiest intersections, based on traffic counts, are Route
9, Route 9D, Route 376, and CR 94

• 70% of the vacant land is between Route 9 and CR 94
• 85% of the vacant land is zoned residential (based on current
zoning)
• 96% of the vacant land zoned residential is zoned for single
family residential

• Highest traffic volumes recorded between Route 9 and CR94
• 7 intersections operate at poor level of service
• Travel speeds are high on certain segments
• High percentage of rear-end crashes
• 6 locations have limited intersection sight distance
