Library offers collection of reading about Kennedy In observance of the first anniversary of the assassination of John F Kennedy, the public library will have a special display of books written by him, about him before his death, and about him after his death. In the first category the library has "While England Slept," written in 1940 as a criticism of Great Britain and its failure to see the coming of World War II. "Profiles in Courage" was written in 19541955 while he was convalescing from wounds which he received during the war. It is a collection of dramatic profiles of Americans who took difficult and courageous stands at crucial moments in public life. "America The beautiful" is made up of scenes from one coast to the other of our country. Each is commented on by President Kennedy. He uses words which show deep gratitude for America and love and appreciation of our country. Appreciative of his valor, ability, and character, many have written books about our former president. They are based on his active life and accomplishments. D o n o v a n ' s "PT 109" concerns Kennedy's experiences in World War IL James Bishop writes on "A Day in the Life of President I C E!
