he creative team was led by Taniyaa for make-up and
Sareena for hair. They were assisted by Sujata and Anisha,
who are a part of the Enrich Salons & Academy team. The
concept was thought through and ideas were tossed. With a
series of discussions and after rejecting the expected, Mood
Boards were initiated. To design the looks, the team sat and
planned on backgrounds, décor, colours, jewellery and special
elements for each bridal look. Bridal outfits are traditionally
in tones of red, that can become a limitation for variations in
jewellery and décor, but that was taken as a challenge. Sporting
trends and the forecast for the season was smooth sailing. Each
model was chosen with a distinct skin tone and hair texture.
Finally, what shows in the shoot is a careful distinctive
element in each look. Tackling last minute challenges arriving
at alternative looks, after all of that, the artist’s and stylist’s
brilliance and talent can be experienced in the collection.

Hair
You’ll walk down the aisle with style and grace
wearing one of these elegantly creative, long bridal
hair looks. In this collection, we have mainly shown
off long loose curls, half up styles, crown braids
and bridal buns, curly hair updos and hair styles
with flowers that complement gorgeous traditional
wedding accessories.
Make-up
The look for the season is sheer. For 2014,
we are trending towards a glowing skin and
vibrant make-up. A final application of
shimmer completes the looks.
Contemporary groom: Since he
is a guy next door the hairstyle
is easy to carry and will surely
make him feel confidant.
In make-up, concealers,
cream-based blush and matte
bronzer have been used. A
tinted lip balm gives lips a
natural shine. The jawline and
chin are contoured to create a
structured look.
Contemporary bride: A cool and
charming short hairstyle. In
make-up, a bold peach and
pink eyeshadow and pigment
is used with an overlay of
eye pigment. This enables
the reader to know about the
colour and techniques used. A
modern touch to the traditional
peer is added by designing at
the end of the eyebrows. She
shines bright with the right
amount of concealing and
shading on her face and body.

Maharashtrian bride: The classic updos
and half up-half down hairstyles
are innovative ways to do both. In
make-up, special attention is given to
her eyes. A mix of bronze with gold
eyeshadow is used. A dash of red
eyeshadow is applied to the outer
contour. Golden highlighter is also used
to create an illusion. For the lips, soft
undertones of red with gold pigmented
lipgloss is applied. Face and neck
contouring is done using a bronzer.

Enrich Salons & Academy
A class apart
S
Vikram Bhatt
tarting with a single salon
as a simple solidarity
gesture for a friend 16 years
ago, Enrich is today a four-city
54 salon chain. It is inarguably
India’s largest company owned
and company managed unisex
salon chain.
The Enrich story stands apart
because of the dynamism
and speed with which the
company has managed to
spot what it takes, over a
period of time, and adapt to
it more swiftly. From getting
professionals on board
to support the founding
entrepreneur team to creating
a robust organisational
structure, to focusing on
technical and soft skills
training for its team members
and being the first movers
in adopting technology to
scale up and serve customers
consistently, Enrich, indeed, a
force to reckon with.
It has also forged strong
partnerships with L’Oréal
Professional, Remy Laure,
Agelock, Christian Valmy and
others, which has helped in
strengthening the brand.
The journey is also marked
with a lot of pioneering
initiatives, which have been
industry firsts – launching
a unisex salon when ladies
salons and barber shops
were the norm, to having
a printed menu card and a
loyalty programme have all
been the firsts. Operationally,
having a Salon Management
Team, a Core Team structure,
working on a cloud based real
time point of sale system, to
launching a webstore and
a mobile app, Enrich is
going strong. It has led in
each of these and is the
thought leader in the industry.
If it’s a first, it is most likely
from Enrich.
Philosophy
At Enrich, the fundamental
belief has always been that
everyone has a gift and it is
a duty to recognise this in
themselves and others. This is
practiced at Enrich by creating
systems and services that help
employees, customers and
students alike – to be, look and
feel their confident best.
As a company, they also put
employees ahead of customers,
because they subscribe to
the belief that a happy team
member will invariably deliver a
superior service experience to
the customer.
Planet Enrich
Helping each other to rise
to their potential is at the
core of the concept of Planet
Enrich – the showcase of
the strength of the collective.
A proof that significant
achievement can be made if
the team can work together. So
whether it is launching multiple
salons in a single day in a
new city or over a thousand
people contributing towards a
colleague’s medical emergency,
this tremendous power is seen
at work regularly.

I
t is that time of the year
when weddings and
parties are taking centrestage
and everyone wants to know
the trend in make-up for
the season. So without
further ado, let us unveil the
colours to look out for and
a few tips and tricks that we
share with you.
Colours
Emerald green, peacock
blue and ruby red and all
the colours of the rainbow
are the predicted colours
for the season. Shades of
purple, green and gold give
a twist to the classic smokey
eye make-up.
Wine colour is also hugely in
trend as are metallic shades
of orange, bubble gum pink,
golden copper, silver in olive.
All bright colours are in trend
for make-up. Don’t shy away
from violet, aquamarine, neon
orange shades. Hot pink
20 I SALON INTERNATIONAL I ENRICH BRIDAL SUPPLEMENT 2013
neon lipstick, plastic eyelash
extensions, and metallic silver
eye shadow should be used.
The MAC lip liner in cherry is a
colour to try.
Concealers
MAC concealer is a musthave for dark circles under the
eye and pigmentation marks
on the skin. It is important to
use the right product with the
correct texture for various skin
types. Another trendsetter will
be the soft application of blush
brush with bronzing powder
over the T-zone.
Tips and Tricks
The season of festivities is
full of lights and colours. As
a make-up artist, I suggest,
apply two to three coats of
volume mascara to give your
eyes the complete look. Apply
pressed powder on the face
once before staring the makeup and once it is over.
Hydrate your skin constantly.
Use moisture and a cream
base. Also remember to use
lip balm.
Always remove make-up
before going to sleep.
The contemporary woman
carries herself with confidence
and flair. Add a dash of neon
colour on your eyes and gloss
up those lips. Fill in the brows
with a brown eyebrow pencil.
Apply a plum-tinted stain on
your lips. Bold brows and
warm, chocolate smoky eyes
are never out of trend. Kim
Kardashian is illustrates this
remarkably.
Line your lips with a pink
pencil first and then fill it up
with a lipgloss. Highlight the
eyelid with a cream-coloured
shadow and use liquid liner in
a subtly winged shape that’s
thick in the middle.
