MODx Family Brochure
MOD X ™ www.litecontrol.com MOD X ™ Litecontrol developed the original architectural slots more than 3 decades ago. MOD™ delivered a cost-sensitive, full-family solution to ambient lighting. MOD™x represents a modernization of this timeless form based on the original MOD™ value proposition: An affordably priced, full featured offering with best-in-class attention to detail. Key Features Variable Intensity Technology 2 3" 1 4" MacAdam Ellipse Color Variation 6" 2 VI TECHNOLOGY Why Use VI® Technology? VI® Technology provides verifiable wattage for compliance with programs, agencies, state and local codes. 1. Specify light output required to achieve desired illuminance Driven by application need, not limited fixture options 2. Specify fixture wattage to meet power density requirements Fixture labeled to your specification means no lost watts in your energy calculation Standard Uplight Distribution Low Peak Angle Uplight Distribution STD INDIRECT OUTPUT RANGE Lumen Output Efficacy Max: 1200 lm/ft 117 Min: 300 lm/ft 128 LPA INDIRECT OUTPUT RANGE Lumen Output Efficacy Max: 1200 lm/ft 107 Min: 300 lm/ft 118 3. Specify a particular indirect/direct distribution for desired visual comfort* Uplight and downlight are independently programmed for maximum fixture flexibility *For I/D fixtures only DIRECT OUTPUT RANGE Lumen Output Efficacy Max: 1100 lm/ft 94 Min: 300 lm/ft 102 Variable Intensity Technology Litecontrol's VI® technology module allows specification of LED light output to meet precise needs. Commercial Compliance Using COMcheck™ STEP 1: Choose STEP 2: Specify Choose lumen output based on: •Power density •Light levels •Ceiling brightness 3 LITECONTROL SPECIFIER STEP 3: Manufacturer Specify based on the published output range: •In 50 lumen increments per foot (ex: 500, 550, 600) STEP 4: Verification Litecontrol designs and manufactures luminaire to specifications. Product arrives on site with clear, precise labeling, allowing wattage calculations based on actual versus highest possible values. 4 Design Benefits Diffuser Consistency Light leaks are typical in slot products, as diffusers are often cut short to allow for thermal expansion over time. Litecontrol has eliminated these architecturally unacceptable gaps through an innovative end cap design which provides for diffuser expansion while at the same time eliminating light leaks. Typical Competitor Litecontrol Pendant Litecontrol Recessed Competitive products cut the diffuser short, which results in source visibility. Die-cast end caps overlap diffuser and apply outward pressure on the extruded side rails to eliminate light leaks. Recessed end caps slide vertically into place to eliminate risk of diffuser breakage during installation and removal. Lines of light are architecturally desirable; however, they are very unforgiving. Litecontrol's quality components and clever design deliver exceptional uniformity along the slot length. End Cap Attachment Attention to Detail Litecontrol's installer-friendly magnetic end caps are attached after the diffusers are installed. Precise wiring and white, low profile connectors eliminate shadowing. 5 6 Design Benefits LED Board Design Slot products typically use LED boards designed for recessed troffers, which result in board lengths of less than 24". Litecontrol boards were designed for slot products and result in precise 12" increments. Installation Quality Typical Litecontrol MOD™x ensures a quality installation through numerous features included to assure ease of contractor assembly. X-Bracket Design Joining Captive Reflectors MOD™ x's X-bracket design assists installers by providing reliable fixture alignment. Extruded screw channels ensure tight seams. Captive reflector assemblies allow safe access to internal components. 3" Increments Breakable-board technology allows specification of recessed products to 3" increments for recessed MOD luminaires. 7 8 Additional Options Ordering Guide Fixture Apertures 3", 4", 6" Fixture Lengths 2', 3', 4', 5', 6', 8' Recessed available in 3" increments Mounting Options Pendant, recessed, surface or wall mount options Dust Cover Clear.
