The Rebeca Sosa Theater, located on the second floor of the new Miami Springs
Community Center, 1401 Westward Drive in Miami Springs, is an intimate, acoustically
paneled midnight blue box theater that seats 100 to 200 people.
The interior configuration (42' x 60') is variable (4' x 4' modular stage pieces), and has an
18' high black cyclorama, four matching wing curtains, and a roll out dance floor.
The sound and lighting equipment are state-of-the art, and include 48 dimmers, 3 ETC
Revolution track lights, and wireless headset communication between the tech booth and
the stage. 16 wireless Sennheiser microphones are available for rental. Professional sound
and lighting technicians are also available.
There is a spacious backstage with male and female dressing rooms (18’ x 18’), a unisex
ADA-compliant restroom and a green room (20’ x 20’)
A portable ticket booth can be set up in the large and beautifully decorated lobby, which is
also perfect for intermission refreshment sales and meet and greets. The theater, lobby
and ADA-compliant public restrooms are universally accessible via elevator.
