Description of the test run: The study was cut out pieces of the cylindrical part of the samplers to collect LPG samples. Prepared samples were observed under a microscope to assess the porosity and surface roughness, depending on the preparation method. The material was observed in 3 different magnifications as illustrated by photos. Conclusions: Roughness and porosity of the material depends on the surface treatment. As for potential use in contact with the gaseous products the best properties show material samples 3 and 4. The etched and electroplished surface has the best properties in contact with LPG form all tested samples. By the purity and coherence of the material, this treatment gives the best erosion protection of the performance related with corrosive effects of gases. It can be provided, that such use reduces the risk of deposition of sulfur compounds, which during collection and storage samples can make the reverse reactions. Finishing electrochemical processes cause smoothing of the material, closing the pores and remove material impurities form the surface. This is particularly important for measuring and analytical processes of gases, where the impurities deposition and reverse reactions derived therefrom, are a common cause of analytical errors with proper assessment of the sample quality in relation to the lot from which it is derived.
