Sonera Cable TV is a diversified cable TV service consisting of two parts: free basic channels
and an extensive channel package offering. If your housing company or building has Sonera
Cable TV, numerous TV channels are available to you free of charge. All you need is a television
and a digital receiver operating in the cable network (i.e. a DVB-C set-top box). To be able to
subscribe to channel packages, you also need a Sonera cable card and a set-top box with a
card slot or a separate card reader.
Cable card services
With a cable card, you can multiply the
programme offering of your TV. In addition
to basic channels, the price of the cable
card, €2.90/month, includes the following
channels: Eurosport, Eurosport HD*, Travel channel, MTV3 HD*, Nelonen HD*, FOX
HD* and a Sonera Bonus Channel, which
is different each month. With a cable card,
you can also subscribe to channel packages or separate channels.
To be able to watch extra channels, you
need a digital receiver operating in the
cable network, a cable card and a cable
card reader (unless your digital TV receiver
is provided with a card slot). To be able to
watch HD channels, you also need a Cable
HD Ready device, which must be linked
with the cable card. You can easily submit a
