defies definition
W
hether or not you like what she wears,
Jennifer Lopez has been fun to watch through
the years. A true fashion independent,
she doesn’t seem deterred even when criticism
(sometimes scathing) is lobbed her way.
She can look old Hollywood glam, skin-showing
sultry (the famous slit-to-the-navel Versace in 2000)
with plunging necklines and back-baring gowns, preppy
in turtleneck sweaters or flowy in caftans.
On her current tour with husband Marc Anthony, which
comes to San Diego on Wednesday, she’s been wearing
looser clothes that reveal a bigger belly, but has yet to
confirm reports that she is pregnant.
Lopez has a penchant for boots, bling, layered bangles and
head wear (from floppy hats to clingy wraps). She wears fur
and has used it in her fashion line, Sweetface, making her a
target of animal-rights groups. Topping it off, her hairstyles
have been as wide-ranging as her clothing choices.
