This meeting is an outstanding educational opportunity for Dermatologists, Dermatology residents, and ARNP/PAC’s practicing in Dermatology. This is far and away the most cutting-edge scientific meeting in our region, featuring nationally and locally acclaimed speakers, highlighting a variety of disciplines ranging from cosmetics, pediatrics, skin cancer diagnosis & treatment to practice management. Through a charted course of lectures, networking and brainstorming with your colleagues, you will discover practical information and scientific updates critical to improving your patient care. Learning Objectives Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: • Identify the clinical and histologic features of the primary cicatrical • Develop treatment strategies for challenging medical dermatology conditions including treatment resistant eczematous dermatitis, immunobullous disorders including pemphigus and pemphigoid, pyoderma gangrenosum, hidradenitis suppurativa and others. • Identify protocols for the use of emerging systemic therapies in dermatology • Develop a management approach to cutaneous vasculitis • Diagnose cutaneous small vessel vasculitis • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Photo credit: Suncadia Resort • alopecias (PCAs) Develop a treatment algorithm for the PCAs Identify high risk skin cancer surgical procedures and avoid complications Improve skin cancer diagnostic skills Learn who is a good candidate for laser resurfacing Learn about recent advances in laser resurfacing Diagnose telogen effluvium Diagnose diffuse alopecia areata Discuss current STD trends Analyze the close relationship between skin cancer treatment, reconstructive principles and physical appearance Counsel expecting mothers on the risks to their fetus of commonly used topical and systemic dermatologic medications. Devise an algorhithmic plan for safe treatment of pregnant patients with common dermatologic diseases Identify emerging acne treatments Recognize possible adverse effects related to established acne treatments Critique current body contouring devices Diagnose and treat pediatric inflammatory skin conditions Analyze techniques used during routine dermatologic procedures Develop rational treatment plans for common dilemmas in the care of melanoma Target Audience The intended audience for this course is practicing dermatologists and dermatopathologists, dermatology residents, dermatology nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Continue east on I-90 for approximately 80 miles to the Roslyn/Salmon La Sac exit (exit 80). Turn left at the exit onto Bullfrog Road and follow the signs to Suncadia. From Spokane: Drive west on I-90 for approximately 215 miles to the Roslyn/ Salmon La Sac exit (exit 80). Turn right at the exit onto Bullfrog Road and follow the signs to Suncadia. From Portland: Drive North on I-5 into Washington state. Take exit 142A to merge onto WA-18 east toward North Bend/ Auburn. Continue on Hwy 18 for approximately 28 miles then merge onto I-90 east via the ramp to Spokane. Continue east on I-90 for approximately 55 miles to the Roslyn/Salmon La Sac exit (exit 80). Turn left at the exit onto Bullfrog Road and follow the signs to Suncadia. From Vancouver, British Columbia: Take Provincial Route 99 (crossing into Washington).
