For over 25 years, Essex Electronics has researched, developed and
manufactured a unique piezoelectric based Keypad technology. The
result is a virtually indestructible, hermetically sealed, completely
weatherproof Keypad containing no moving parts. This innovative
design ensures performance and reliability under the most extreme
environmental conditions.
Essex Piezo Keypads have been tested to over 1 Billion cycles and
they simply won't fail. Consistently working over 100 times longer than
traditional membrane, conductive rubber and mechanical switches.
This proven design guarantees dependable operation and eliminates
costly service calls and unnecessary product replacements.
Production Capabilities
Essex Electronics has fully integrated electronics manufacturing capabilities
including through hole assembly and automated surface mount assembly.
One primary advantage of in house assembly is the flexibility in scheduling
shorter production runs thereby reducing lead times of standard and special
order product.
During one of the final stages of production, Essex
performs an encapsulation process on each Keypad.
This process seals the Keypad's circuit assembly,
protecting the integrity of the circuit against the
elements in even the most demanding environments.
In addition to manufacturing highly reliable Keypads,
Essex has developed a number of versatile Keyless
Entry systems designed to provide various access
control solutions for a variety of commercial,
residential, elevator and vehicle applications.
