Standard Limited Warranty: One year parts and labor
Five (5) year compressor warranty
National Refrigeration Company (NRC) warrants to the original purchaser:
Two year parts warranty - The refrigeration cabinet and all of its parts (except as noted) shall be free of defects in material and manufacture under normal
use and service as indicated by NRC installation and operation instructions for a period of two (2) years from the date of original shipment from NRC’s plant.
NRC’s sole obligation under this warranty shall be limited, at its option, to the replacement of any defective part of the cabinet, as determined by NRC. If
any parts are proven defective during the period of two years from the date of shipment from NRC’s plant, NRC hereby guarantees to replace, without charge,
F.O.B. Factory, such part or parts. This warranty does not include any labor or other similar labor-related charges, or supplies, except as set forth below.
Written notice of a claim under this warranty must be received by NRC within twenty-four months from the date of original shipment from NRC’s plant. All
claims submitted must have the equipment serial number on the claim.
One year labor warranty (self-contained units only) - NRC warrants to the original purchaser that its refrigeration equipment, at the time of
installation, will be free from defects in material and workmanship. NRC will bear the reasonable and customary labor expense of repairing or replacing any
component part found to be defective under the terms and conditions outlined above under NRC’s standard one year parts warranty for a period of one year
from the date of installation, not to exceed six (6) months from the date of shipment from NRC’s plant. NRC’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited
to repairing or replacing, including labor, any part of such product which proves to be defective, and which NRC’s examination discloses to its satisfaction to
be defective. NRC will reimburse said labor expenses to the original user only if NRC determines in its sole discretion that this warranty applies. This service
labor warranty shall apply only to equipment installed by authorized or approved NRC dealers, distributors, service companies or refrigeration contractors.
This service labor warranty does not cover the cost (parts or labor) of installation, start-up, normal maintenance, or normal control adjustment. The cost of
service labor reimbursed will be based on straight-time rates, reasonable time for the repair of the defect, and reasonable travel costs.
Written notice of a claim under this Warranty must be received by NRC within ninety (90) days from the date of installation but no longer than six (6) months
from shipment from our plant. All claims submitted must be accompanied by a record of the equipment serial number and cabinet model.
Compressor Warranty - For a period of five (5) years from the date of shipment from our plant, NRC will replace the compressor only, with a compressor of like
or similar design and capacity, if it is shown to the satisfaction of NRC that the sealed compressor is inoperative due to defects in material or manufacture.
This warranty applies only to the compressor and odes not apply to any other part of the cabinet or its finish, nor to any electrical component including the
external control, any electrical controls, condenser, evaporator, fan motors, overload switch, starting relay, temperature control, dryer, accumulator, wiring
harness, labor charges or supplies which are covered by the standard warranty. Condenser coils must be cleaned at regular intervals. Failure to do so can
cause compressor malfunction and will void warranty.
The standard limited warranty and the compressor warranty do not cover:
•
Any labor costs involving the repair or replacement of the cabinet or parts, including the compressor, after the one year warranty period.
•
The cabinet and any of its parts, including the compressor, which have been subjected to accident, alteration (e.g. drilling holes in the cabinet), abuse,
misuse, low voltage operation, improper wiring, failure to clean the condenser tat regular intervals or damage by flood, fire, or acts of God, or which
have not been otherwise installed or operated in accordance with NRC’s installation, maintenance, or safety instructions.
•
Any light bulbs, thermostat calibration or defects due to or resulting form handling, abuse, misuse, nor shall it extend to any unit from which the serial
number has been removed or altered, or to which modifications have been made by unauthorized service personnel.
•
Loss or spoilage of food or any other contents of the cabinet.
•
Improper operation due to low voltage conditions, inadequate wiring, and accidental damage, all of which are manufacturing defects and are strictly
the responsibility of the purchaser.
General - This Standard Limited Warranty shall apply only within the boundaries of the United States and Canada and is not assignable by the original
purchaser.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranty of merchantability, any applied
warranty of fitness for a particular purpose and any implied warranties otherwise arising from course of dealing or trade. In no event
shall NRC be liable for any loss, damage, or expense, directly or indirectly resulting from the use of its product, including, without
limitation, food spoilage, incidental, special or consequential damages or contingent liability of any nature whatsoever.
