Welcome to the 2007 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the efforts, accomplishments, and positive contributions of companies and business people worldwide. In addition to the Stevie
Awards for Women in Business, we also organize The American Business Awards, The International
Business Awards, and the Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards. Our mission is to raise the profile of
exemplary companies and individuals among the press, the business community, and the general public.
You can learn more about our organization and our programs at www.stevieawards.com.
The 2007 Stevie Awards for Women in Business attracted more than 800 entries from more than 300
organizations around the world. Nominations were reviewed and scored by volunteer business professionals in September and October, and their average scores determined the Finalists who are listed in
this program. The final judging to select each category’s Stevie Award winner from among the Finalists
was performed in October by members of our Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs.
I thank the members of our Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors who performed the final
judging, and the business professionals who performed the preliminary judging. I also thank our
sponsors, including JetBlue, Pink magazine, and most notably Infiniti, our presenting sponsor this
evening. Please take a moment to thank the people from Infiniti who are with us this evening, and
learn more about Infiniti and the all-new Infiniti EX Personal Luxury Crossover, debuting this December,
at www.Infiniti.com.
Enjoy the evening!

MISTRESS OF CEREMONIES
Melody Thomas Scott
Melody Thomas Scott, who stars as Nikki Newman on “THE YOUNG AND THE
RESTLESS,” recently celebrated 27 years in the role, having joined the cast in
February, 1979. After garnering a Daytime Emmy nomination for “Outstanding
Lead Actress” in 1999, she went on to win in the same category for the Digest Award
in 2001. She also received four Update Awards for “Outstanding Lead Actress”
(1992, 1993, 1995 and 1996) for her portrayal of Nikki, the ultimate survivor.
Melody currently has her own clothing line, which debuted last October on the
Home Shopping Network.
Scott made her motion picture debut at age eight when she was cast by Alfred
Hitchcock as the young Tippi Hedren in the thriller “Marnie.” At age 13, she
co-starred with Clint Eastwood and Geraldine Page in “The Beguiled.” While still a teenager, she played
ingénue roles opposite such stars as John Wayne in “The Shootist,” again with Clint Eastwood in “Dirty Harry,”
in “Posse,” opposite Kirk Douglas, who also directed her, and in Brian DePalma’s “The Fury.” Scott’s other film
appearances include roles in “The Car” and “Piranha.”
GUEST SPEAKER
Robin Jay
Robin Jay is the author of the award-winning book, “The Art of the Business Lunch ~
Building Relationships Between 12 and 2,” which is currently published in ten
languages worldwide.
Robin resigned from an award-winning, 18-year career in advertising sales to pursue
her love of writing and speaking. After more than 3,000 client lunches, Robin saw her
sales increase by more than 2,000%! Her clients started calling her the “Queen of the
Business Lunch.”
She has recently been featured on MSNBC TV, in NEWSWEEK magazine and on
FORBES.com… for her business relationship expertise.
Robin is also a contributing author to “The Power of Mentorship” series of books, and is a featured mentor in
the “Power of Mentorship — The Movie.”
