“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every
good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks
continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all
things in your gratitude.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Dear Members,
When words fail me, I turn to the great thinkers
and writers who have shaped my view of the world.
Ralph Waldo Emerson is one such individual. Sharing
this quote is my way – on behalf of every member
of the KBTC Public Television team – of wishing you
and yours the Happiest of Thanksgivings.
It’s also my way of giving thanks to you. We appreciate the many ways each of you have contributed
to the advancement of KBTC, PBS, and public media
throughout one of our most successful years.
As the long, cold, wet winter months take hold, we
can take solace in the fact that our collective efforts
make the television programs we love possible.
Programs like Nature, NOVA, Masterpiece, Daniel
Tiger’s Neighborhood, and Odd Squad exist because
of your support. So, when all seems dark and dreary,
please remember that KBTC will continue to deliver
the shows that inspire all of us, our children, and
grandchildren to explore our world.
KBTC/KCKA, licensed to Bates Technical College reaffirms its policy of
