Our Art & Craft workshops are a great way to learn new skills and pick up some new ideas from the experts, with sessions in everything from chocolate making, to painting, and textiles. 3rd: Simple Sewing Men’s Cookery 10th: Silk Painting Out of the Memory Box with Lorna Jones Learn to create ‘fabrics’ using various techniques, then re-assemble them into a postcard sized fabric collage. All films are screened in the Wave, our auditorium with big screen, HD projector and surround sound. After the screening members are encouraged to relax in the d.@rt centre with a free drink and biscuit to discuss the film. All of our music studios are equipped with a full backline, including bass & guitar amplifiers, P.A system and drum kit. Our smaller practise rooms are also ideal spaces for one-to-one music tuition. All our spaces can be booked on a casual hourly basis or contractually hired for regular use, and our rates are very competitive. Recording Studio The d.@rt recording studio is fully equipped with industry standard equipment, and time booked includes the aid of our sound technician to ensure you capture the best possible results. Sessions can be tailored to fit a wide variety of needs. From simple voice-over work to large ensemble recordings, you can be sure the outcome will be music to your ears! The centre already plays host to a diverse range of hirers that include professional companies, community groups and private individuals (see p17). We welcome enquiries from new prospective hirers. At the traffic lights in the village centre turn left onto Wildern Lane. Wildern School and the d.@rt are 200m along on the right. Park & Stride We operate a Park & Stride scheme with both the local Budgens in Hedge End Village and B&Q on Charles Watts Way. Visitors can park at either and from there it is just a short signposted walk to the centre. In order to keep our class prices at an affordable, and accessible, rate for all we operate the following booking policy: 1. We require advance payment on booking for all classes and are unable to reserve places without payment. 2. The d.@rt reception is open to take payment from 9am until 9.30pm on weekdays and between 9am and 4.30pm on Saturdays. 3. We are reluctant to offer internet payment as our courses require individual attention that cannot be gained in this way. 4. Materials and resources are bought to match the number of people booked on the course. As a result, we cannot guarantee places will be available on the day unless pre-booked. Please always phone to check: 01489 779471 5. In the event of cancellation a refund cannot be given, unless we can fill your space. Should the d.@rt Centre have to cancel a workshop you have booked onto, an alternative workshop or date will be offered.
