Hood National Forest, is open for play year ‘round. A Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, The Courses is dedicated to fostering and preserving its vibrant ecosystem. Golfers will witness the results of award-winning efforts in restoring bird and fish habitats along the Wee Burn stream, a tributary to the wild and scenic Salmon River. Here, the area’s abundant vegetation and wildlife, pristine and revitalizing streams, and unmatched blue skies converge to offer a backdrop for what will surely be a memorable golf round (or two or three). For not-so-serious golfers, there is The Greens – The Resort’s natural turf 18-hole (plus one playoff hole) lighted putting course designed for solo fun, family activity or friendly competition among meeting-goers. Calm all the way down at The Spa The Spa combines natural elements found in mountain flora with healing traditions of indigenous inspired cultures. The full-service 5,000 square foot facility features seven treatment rooms including three massage rooms, skin care treatment room, wet treatment room with a Vichy shower, deluxe couples treatment room with an oversized two-person soaking tub and manicure/pedicure room. Also awaiting Spa guests are separate steam rooms for men and women plus a relaxation area with a stone fireplace and the Infiniti Tea Garden. Enjoy The Resort’s environmental projects and accolades The Wee Burn Stream Restoration Project was undertaken in 1995. Dredging the pond, adding hundreds of indigenous logs and boulders as well as returning a meander pattern to parts of the stream vastly improved access for the Coho and Steelhead. The planting of thousands of native trees and shrubs provides fish additional protection and food sources. Long-term monitoring and maintenance ensure the project’s continuing success. Extensive habitat restoration and environmentally sensitive operations have earned The Courses recognition as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Of 16,000 golf courses in the United States, only 2,300 are so designated. Awarded in 2002, the certification is based on environmental excellence including water conservation, wildlife and habitat management. Revel in flexible and plentiful event space Ideally suited for groups from 5 to 750, The Resort’s facilities combine function with comfort and convenience. Thirteen meeting and banquet rooms are located in the Main Lodge and the East Side Complex. Hospitality suites and suitably sized space for small groups are available throughout the property. And outdoor venues abound. Expansive windows in nearly all event rooms allow year ‘round inspiring views of lush forest and majestic mountains as well as soothing, fragrant valley breezes. Additionally, outdoor areas provide pictureperfect venues for professional or social events. T he Resort at The Mountain’s meeting and event experiences will be remembered by how well the five senses – sight, smell, taste, touch and sound – are stimulated. This requires personal, experienced attention to every detail. At The Resort at The Mountain, you will find associates committed to exceeding the needs, wants and expectations of our guests. And when it comes to banquets and theme events, we understand these are more than social occasions – they are essential to the success of your program.
