She attended school in Honolulu and Los Angeles, attending El Camino College where she met her husband, Richard. Both taught in L.A. until retiring in 1994 and 1996. After they moved here in 1998, Ann joined local Japanese and hula dance groups. She has served as Odori Sensei for 9 years. Ann has been instrumental in integrating Taiko drumming and hula into the Obon Dance program. School age children are encouraged to attend our Dharma Class. Each month, we have a different visiting minister, who is assigned by Reverend Marvin Harada of Orange County Buddhist Church.
