Cancer Patient Services
The mission of Cancer Patient Services is to improve
the lives of Hancock County cancer patients and their
families. We further believe that patients and their
families deserve support and guidance after receiving
the devastating news of a cancer diagnosis; ultimately
to regain balance and peace in their lives.
Cancer Patient Services is the only local agency that
provides direct services to individuals in Hancock
County. Our services include; financial and physical assistance, educational resources and emotional support.
In 2014, we served 185 new clients and have a total client base of over 700 individuals. We are funded by The
United Way of Hancock County, fundraisers, donations,
memorials, and grants.
COMITTMENT, CARE for CANCER
Started in 2007, throughout the years, 2007 to 2014 we
have been able to give to F.A.C.T. OF Seneca County
nearly $90,000.00.
F.A.C.T. is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) agency dedicated to
assisting residents of Seneca County, Ohio towards
cancer related expenses. All donations are kept in
Seneca County.
F.A.C.T. averages expenses/payouts of $100,000.00
per year to their clients.
It gives us great pleasure to think that through the years
the amount raised by our COMMITMENT, CARE for
CANCER fundraising has been enough to help F.A.C.T.
get through one year.
What started out as 3 person event has grown to
several person event, we are fortunate to have amazing
friends, families, organizations and businesses step up
to make Commitment, Care for Cancer a huge success
every year.
