KERRY SENIOR TEAM MANAGEMENT 2009
Alan O’Sullivan (Physical Trainer), Jack O’Connor (Manager), Ger O’Keeffe (Selector), Eamon Fitzmaurice (Selector)
Jack O’Connor was manager of the Kerry team in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and won the All I reland Title in 04, 06 and 09.
He was a Senior Selector in 2000 and 2001. In 1996 he was Trainer of the under 21 team that won the All-Ireland title
and also the Manager of the team which beat Laois in the All-Ireland Under 21 Final in 1998. He has trained Scoil Uí
Chonaill Cahersiveen and later Colaiste na Sceilige, Cahersiveen to All-Ireland Senior Vocational Schools titles and 3-in-arow Munster Colleges titles and one Hogan Cup in 2009.
Ger O’Keeffe was a member of Kerry’s four-in-a-row All-Ireland team 1978-1981 and was captain in 1977 when Kerry lost
to Dublin. He won an Under 21 All-Ireland medal in 1973. He won one All Ireland club Title with his club Austin Stacks in
1977. In team management he was a selector with Jack O’Connor from 2004 to 2006 and in 2009. He also was an Under
21 selector with Jack O’Connor in 2002 and 2003.
Eamon Fitzmaurice was a member of The Kerry Senior team from 1997 to 2007. He has two under 21 titles in 1996 and
1998. He won a County Championship title with Feale Rangers in 2007 and UCC and an All-Ireland Club Championship
with Finuge. Eamon is also a talented Hurler and has two County Championship Titles with Lixnaw. This is his first year as
a senior selector with Kerry.
Alan O’Sullivan teamed up as physical trainer with Jack O’Connor at Kerins O’Rahillys in 2008. This is his first year as physical
trainer with the Kerry team. He was Physical Trainer with the Kerry U21 s and knows many of the younger players.
BACK-UP SUPPORT:
Dr. Dave Geaney has been involved with Kerry teams at various levels, including as a player, selector and team doctor. He
was a senior selector with Kerry when they won the All-Ireland title in 2007.
Dr. Michael Finnerty is in his seventh year of regular involvement with the Kerry Senior Football team. He is a specialist in
treating sports injuries.
Ciara O’Brien (Physio) from Tralee was with Kerry Ladies in 08.This is her first year with the Kerry Senior Football Team.
Louise Smyth (Physio) is from Meath and worked with Jack O’Connor in Kerins O’Rahillys, before joining Kerry.
Harry O’Neill is a member of the Dr. Crokes Club and was the Club’s senior team trainer for a number of years. This is his
sixth year being involved as a masseur with the Kerry team.
Dan O’Sullivan is brother of full back Tom and this is fourth year being involved with the team. He plays senior football for
his club, Rathmore.
