Life isn't a matter of milestones, but of moments.—Rose Kennedy K IDDIE P AGE 5 CHRONICLES Change of Season: Please label all your child’s clothing and belongi n g s . When the weather changes, we would like to please ask that parents make sure your child has appropriate clothing for weather conditions. Classrooms will still be going outside as long as weather permits. Hand washing: It is essential that all children wash their hands upon entrance into the classroom. Not only is it a DCFS guideline, but one that is practiced at our Center. Parents should encourage their children to wash hands and to prevent the spread of germs and illness. Food from home: Please refrain from bringing in food from home to the Center for breakfast or snacks. The Center provides nutritious meals and snacks that are offered to all the children. We would like to avoid allergy problems. Spare Clothing: Check with your child’s classroom teacher to make sure that your child has adequate spare clothing just in case of an accident. Also, please label all clothing accordingly to help avoid mix-ups. Parent drop-off/pick-ups: It is important to keep in mind your child’s pick up and drop off times. Should you need to drop off/pick up at different times, please let the office know in advance. Thank you. Blankets: Please label all blankets for your child. They are to be used during nap time only. Each child is to have his/her own blanket for nap time purposes. Blankets are to be taken home on a weekly basis to be washed as well. Please make A Child’s Place - Center Policies for Review (Please refer to the Parent Handbook for additional policies and procedures.) Payment Policy: Your weekly payment is still due on your child's first day of the week, should your child be absent, ill, or on vacation. Late fees will apply should your payment not be received. Late Fees: As always, your child’s weekly fee is due upon the first day of your child’s week. Please remit payment accordingly to avoid a $20.00 late fee. Payments can also be made bi-weekly or monthly. Should families wish to change their payment schedule, please indicate this change as it will be applied to your account. Please drop payment in drop box located near office door. Center Absentee Policy: Our staff is always scheduled according to your families needs. Please call the McHenry Center at 815.385.3311 or Volo 847-201-1760 or Antioch at 847-838-7669 to inform us if your child will be absent for the day by 9:00 a.m. 3 week’s notice: Parents are required to give the Center a three (3) weeks advance notice upon cancellation of care. The first two weeks are paid for by the parent and the security deposit pays for the 3rd week of care only. The security deposit is non-refundable as it applies to the last week of care only.
