The Rural Family Medicine Locum Program will reimburse most, if not all, travel and accommodation expenses. Locums are provided access to a high end furnished house (if available) and a liaison from the Family Health Team or clinics will serve as a resource person. There are two sites to choose from with one being in Terrace Bay within the McCausland Hospital at the Aguasabon Medical Centre and another at the J.E. Stokes Medical Centre in Schreiber. Regular office hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The volume of patients seen in the clinics varies, but is generally between 15 and 20 patients a day. Locums may take as little or as much on-call coverage as they wish. On-call is usually homecall and quiet with knowledgeable triage nurses. We will start all the paperwork! All we need is your NAME, ADDRESS and TELEPHONE NUMBER! Other information such as your hobbies, interests or what you would like to do while you are visiting will help us organize a locum you will never forget!
