Final Thoughts
AS I TURN THE BATON OVER to Tracy Kaber,
your next president, he is giving me his baton
for Ski VP. But before its official I want to
honor the entire outgoing board for their hard
work. This was a great year with loaded with
tons of fun and we owe it all to the board who
made it happen:
Thank you Tracy for putting together all the Ski Trips and putting up with some headaches; thank you Angelika for planning all
the
Social activities; thanks Joyce for keeping the club up to speed;
thanks Wayne for being an accountant and our treasurer forever;
thank you Herb for the newsletters; thanks Glen for the racing and
membership stuff ; and we cant forget our past president Peggy,
thanks for the input and help.
Finally thanks to me who didn't have to do much because of the
awesome people I just mentioned. The new board will be just as
good because its pretty much the same people with a couple of little
changes; Teeda Martoccia will be taking over for Angelika, and
Tracy and I are swapping spots. See you at the beach.

Social Stuff
WE HAD QUITE A NICE TURNOUT
for our April 23rd - Happy Hour at
El Torito in Redondo Beach. Around
20 people enjoyed chips and salsa
and great Mexican food. Terrific
turn-out since the location changed
due to renovations at Union Cattle. Maybe the new Social VP can
get us in at a later date!
As the May 1st banquet approaches, and new board members will take over for the 2010/2011
ski year, I would like to say "thank you" to everybody who attended
the social gatherings which I have organized. I really had a fun time
doing so.
A big thank you also to Barbara who initially helped me to get a
jump start on the Social VP Job, as well as my husband James, who
did a great job supporting me. While I would love to tackle this job
for another year, James and I have a new project that will be taking
up most of our time. ;-) Thanks again for your support in making
our social gatherings so great!
