ORANGE ART CENTER JOINS
ORANGE COMMUNITY EDUCATION &
RECREATION DEPARTMENT
We are very pleased to announce that the Orange
Art Center is now a program of the Orange Community
Education & Recreation Department. Since the Orange
Art Center’s Board of Directors approached Orange
Community Education & Recreation regarding merging
their program with our department, both organizations
have spent the last two years reviewing and developing a model that could best benefit both programs, as
well as the residents of the greater Orange district.

We believe this unique merger will provide significant
opportunities for Orange Community Education & Recreation to develop and offer a wide range of dynamic,
new arts programming for both youth and adults within
our communities and beyond. It will also provide the
opportunity for Orange Art Center’s current fine arts
programs to expand in a larger market and rely on the
support that a larger organization, such as Orange
Community Education & Recreation, can provide.
The spirit of innovation, development and creative
thinking that is the hallmark of Orange Community
Education & Recreation, coupled with the fine arts tradition and talents of Orange Art Center, will evolve into
our communities’ next chapter of arts creativity and
expression, reinforced with the educational, strategic
and developmental resources that this new partnership
will bring to all residents.
As we move forward, we encourage you to review this
winter’s current art offerings for adults, teens and
youth. You can register for any of these art classes
