Improving your footwork will
make you more consistent with
your shots:
When you run for a wide ball you take big
steps to get to the ball. As you approach
and get closer you need to adjust your
steps (smaller) to gain your balance while
you are hitting the ball. This will allow you
to keep the ball at a good distance so not
to jam yourself with your swing, allowing
you also to recover quicker without having
to take extra steps to regain your balance.

To wrap-up the summer, Claude
Underwood prevailed in a hard fought
championship match, besting Charlie
Schneider. All told, 66 men competed in
145 matches. Great summer! Bring on the
winter season!

Soar With Grace

The 4th Annual ROCK HILL ROCKS
OPEN will be held during daylight
hours October 14-21, 2012 at the Rock
Hill Tennis Center in Rock Hill, SC.
The event is a $25,000 USTA Women's
Pro Circuit tennis tournament that is
open free to the public.
Players from around the world
compete for prize money and ranking

Qualifying runs from Sun. Oct. 14
through Tues. Oct. 16. The Main Draw
runs Tues. Oct. 16 through Sun. Oct.

Grace Tennis Benefit. A majority of this
year’s participants were Grace’s friends
from school who came to enjoy the food,
activities, and fellowship of one another –
all while remembering their special
friend, Grace.
This event continues to be an honoring
tribute to our daughter and the impact
she has made in our community. Through
your generosity and the support of our
sponsors, the Soar with Grace
Foundation raised $9000 to help further
our mission of raising awareness and
much needed research of DIPG. We are
