Introducing……… Colour co-ordinating packaging WHITE LINE- Standard 75 RED LINE - CSA 75 BLUE LINE - Standard 100 GREEN LINE - CSA 100 GOLD LINE - 160 MST SOLID BLUE - Deep Well At Gravenhurst Plastics, we recognize the importance of being able able to quickly and accurately identify both the pressure rating and the CSA classification of the polyethylene pipe in your inventory. For this reason we use colour co-ordinated tape to clearly mark the CSA rating and pressure class making it easy to identify our pipe and eliminate costly shipping errors. When looking, as an example, for a coil or reel of CSA 75, simply look for the RED TAPE on the coil or reel, clearly identifying the product. For Standard Grade 75 look for White, CSA 100 look for Green, Standard Grade 100 look for Blue and Gold for 160 psi. As always, deep well pipe will be solid blue and Utility will be black. There is no extra protection required for above ground installations and inventory does not need to be protective wrapped. Corrosion Resistance Gravenhurst Plastics' polyethylene pipe provides superior resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and decomposition. Unlike metal pipes, Gravenhurst's polyethylene pipe will not degrade over time after installation. Installation Ease Gravenhurst Plastics' polyethylene pipe can be installed without the need for expensive tools. The pipe can be cut with an ordinary saw and deburred by hand. Sequential Marking Every coil and reel of Gravenhurst's polyethylene pipe is sequentially marked with the footage so you never need to guess. This saves valuable time and eliminates waste. Chemical Resistance Gravenhurst Plastics' polyethylene pipe is the most chemically inert product in the market today. For a complete listing of chemical resistance please refer to our compatability chart. Experience Gravenhurst Plastics' polyethylene pipe is durable, has a low co-efficient of friction for smoother flow, can absorb water hammer and will not be negatively affected by freeze thaws. Our pipe is supported by over 40 years experience manufacturing in Canada, stored indoors until shipped and colour co-ordinated for easy identification. 1964 Muskoka Beach Road, RR#1 Gravehurst, Ontario P1P 1R1 Telephone: (705)646-5589 Fax: (800)281-8386 www.gpltd.com Chemical Resistance Chart for Polyethylene Resins The first letter of each pair applies to conditions at 20 degrees C (68F); the second letter of each pair applies to conditions at 50 degrees C (122F) CHEMICAL Rating CHEMICAL Rating CHEMICAL Rating Acetic Acid 5% EE Diethyl Ketone GG Kerosene GG Acetic Acid 50% EE Diethyl Malonate EE Lactic Acid 85% EE Acetone EE Diethylene Glycol EE Mercury EE Acetonitrile EE Dipropylene Glycol EE Methyl Ethyl Ketone EE Adipic Acid EE Ether FN Methylene Chloride GF Allyl Alcohol EE Ethyl Acetate EE Nitric Acid 10% EE Ammonia EE Ethyl Alcohol EE Nitric Acid 70% GN Benzene GG Ethyl Benzene GF Phenol Chrystals GF Benzoic Acid EE Ethyl Benzoate GG Phenol Liquid NN Benzyl Acetate EE Ethyl Chloride FF Phosphoric Acid 85% EE Benzyl Alcohol FN Ethylene Glycol EE Picric Acid NN Bromine FN Fatty Acids EE Potassium Hydroxide EE Butyl Chloride NN Fluorides EE Propionic Acid EF Butyl Acetate EG Flourine GN Salt Solutions EE Butyl Alcohol EE Formaldehyde 10% EE Silicone Oil EE Butyric Acid FN Formaldehyde 40% EE Silver Acetate EE Calcium Hydroxide EE Formic Acid 3% EE Silver Nitrate EE Carbon Disulfide NN Formic Acid 50% EE Sodium Acetate EE Carbon Tetrachloride GF Formic Acid 100% EE Sodium Hydroxide 100% EE Cellosolve Acetate EE Freon TF EG Sodium Hypochloride 15% EE Chlorobenzene FN Fuel Oil GF Sulphuric Acid 60% EE Chlorine 10% in air EF Gasoline GG Sulphuric Acid 98% GG Chlorine 10% moist GF Glacial Acetic Acid EE Sulphur Dioxide Liquid FN Chloroacetic Acid EE Glycerine EE Sulphur Salts GF Chromic Acid 10% EE Hexane GF Tararic Acid EE Chromic Acid 50% EE Hydrochloric Acid 35% EE Thlonyl Chloride NN Citric Acid 10% EE Hydroflouric Acid 48% EE Toluene GG Cyclohexane FN Hydrogen Peroxide 90% EE Trichloroethylene FN Cyclopentane FN Iodine Crystals NN Trichloroacetic Acid FF Diacetone Alcohol EE Isobutyl Alcohol EE Turpentine GG Dichlorobenzene GF Isopropyl Alcohol EE Xylene GF E - 30 days of constant exposure to reagent causes no damage.
