Welcome
Dear Friends,
On behalf of Special Leisure Services Foundation, it is my pleasure to welcome
you to The 22nd Annual Gold Medal Fashion Show. This event spotlights the
children and adults who attend Northwest Special Recreation Association
programs and compete on NWSRA Lightning teams for local, regional and
state competitions.
As the fundraising arm of NWSRA, SLSF provides funding for accessible
transportation, general program support, the Kevin T. Kendrigan Memorial
Scholarship program, inclusion opportunities and NWSRA Lightning athletes
who can compete in Special Olympics, Paralympic and Unified Sports
opportunities in the northwest suburbs. SLSF salutes the dedicated staff of
NWSRA as they continue to provide world-class programming and life-changing
experiences throughout seventeen member park district communities. Please also
join me in thanking the exceptional team of committee members and volunteers
who have worked tirelessly to organize this event.
SLSF’s mission is to support and promote outstanding opportunities through
recreation for children and adults with disabilities. We thank you for supporting
the SLSF mission by sharing the spotlight with our models today, and for making
so many special experiences possible. Enjoy the show!
Sincerely,
