IMPORTANT PARKING UPDATE
Due to the WIAA Boys State Basketball Tournament starting on the same day as our
conference, parking spaces on campus will be in high demand. While we have been able to
arrange for a limited number of parking spaces in or near Union South, there will not be
enough spaces for the projected number of attendees. We’re sorry but we cannot guarantee
you a parking space near the conference.
To address this issue, we have arranged for FREE parking at a convenient location on the
south side of Madison. If you are approaching campus from the south using either Fish
Hatchery Road or Park Street, it will be right on your way. A shuttle service has been arranged
via Badger Cab to deliver you to and from Union South. The shuttle service, also at no cost to
you, will operate from 8:00 AM to about 6:30 PM and will then resume after the evening
banquet. The 8:00 AM start time is for the convenience of the Wisconsin Section Board
members, who will be meeting prior to the start of the day’s events. We encourage you to
arrive early for your activities, to avoid any inconvenience resulting from heavy use of the
service.
The free shuttle parking is located on W. Wingra Drive, just east of the US Post Office (820 W.
Wingra Drive) and just west of the Madison Labor Temple (1602 S. Park Street). For
reference, Strand Associates is located about ¼ miles west of the site and the Madison Labor
Temple adjoins the lot to the east.
If you exit the Beltline (USH 12/18) at Park Street, head north until you cross Wingra Creek
and turn left onto W. Wingra Drive at the stop light. Or, if you are heading north on Fish
Hatchery Road, turn right onto W. Wingra Drive after crossing the creek. The lot is on the north
side of the street near mid-block and will be marked at the entrance with a sign reading
“ASCE”.
The cab shuttle operation will be provided again at the end of the technical sessions and again
at the end of the evening’s activities. For those of you who may have to leave at times other
than at the end of the technical session or at the end of the evening, Badger Cab will be at
your disposal.
