A Little History About Our Company ...
I would like to take this opportunity to share with you,
a little of my family history and our company’s history.
In 1946, my Grandfather, Oscar Hudon began logging
and farming in Crown Point, New York near Lake
Champlain, with his sons Daniel, Omer, Paul and
Maurice. They quickly gained respect in their community and earned a reputation for quality and hard work.
Through the years, their reputation has continued to
stand strong. Being a third generation Hudon, these
qualities and values were passed on to me and continue to be the cornerstone of our company today. In tribute to my Grandfather, we named our line of bandmills
after him and continue to carry on his commitment of
hard work and quality. The name Hud-Son derived
from Hudon and Son. When you look at our equipment, you will see the years of development, testing
and hands on knowledge. These key factors have
shaped our product line and maintained our reputation
for value and excellence in the forest industry.

The blade guides are Hud-Son Shoe Guides which provide the best blade support available. We use heavy duty 1.5” shafts and bearings. It has a hand crank to adjust board
thicknesses. The sawmill can cut boards as thin as paper. Maximum board width is 19”.
This sawmill is ideal for sawing your logs into boards or re-sawing boards to the needed dimension. Now you can build that shed, fix that wagon, saw lumber for the tree
house, there are unlimited possibilities for a very small price.

The HFE-30 sawmill is an important and handy tool to have at home or around the farm.
With a log capacity of 30" and optional unlimited lengths of cut you can easily and efficiently saw boards and beams which can be used in your home construction and maintenance projects.
With the manual height adjustment you can quickly and accurately adjust the thickness

The HFE-36 sawmill is an important tool for any homestead. Whether your land offers you
large or small diameter logs, hard or soft woods, the HFE-36 will turn them into beautiful
boards. With the 36” diameter log capacity and 16hp engine the HFE-36 gets the job

you, our customers have
wanted electric start. We
researched and found
Subaru to have a 9HP motor
with electric start and manual recoil. This is very handy
if your battery ever fails,
you can still start your unit.
It also has a one-inch crankshaft that will accept our
heavy-duty Noram centrifugal clutch. This upgrade is
the same clutch we use on
our 14-35 hp motor and
they have given flawless
performance and durability.
The Subaru 9 hp motor also
carries a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

The wheel belting is custom made for us and has a "mushroom" shape to keep the
blade centered on wheel and tracking correctly. The band wheels ride on a heavy-duty
1 ½" shaft supported by two pillow block bearings on each side of the wheel. This configuration distributes the pressure load evenly over the shaft to eliminate premature
shaft or bearing failure. We believe so strongly in this we guarantee the main bearings
and shafts for 6 YEARS!
The track that the mill operates on is a modular design. You can add as many pieces to
the track to cut any length of log you desire. They come in six-foot lengths and have a
clamping dog in each section. The clamping dog works in unison with the squaring pin
to hold the log in place while cutting and keeps the cutting surface perpendicular to
the cutting deck.
The Hud-Son Osar-221 is a lot of mill in a small package! It provides a "Pro" style mill
for smaller diameter logs and you won't break the bank paying for it. It comes completely assembled except for the track sections and has been tested in wood before it
leaves our facility. You'll be cutting in a matter of an hour or so, not days of assembly.

The H360 is our sawmill that has all the features to make milling lumber a breeze. The
unit come standard with a log loader, log turner, adjustable power feed, three linked
backstops, power throttle and power height adjustment. It also has optional power
dogs and back stop adjustment.
The cutting head features 19" bandwheels with crowned polypropylene belting for
proper blade tracking. The unit comes with Hud-Son Guides that support the blade from
above and below for superior blade performance. The head also features the Hud-Son
1.5" pillow block bearing system that has two large main bearings and a large shaft that
distributes the load evenly for unrivaled longevity of shaft and bearing life. We believe
so strongly in this system that we guarantee bearings and shafts for SIX YEARS and have
an optional lifetime warranty.
The log loader and turner take the "grunt work" out of the process, allowing you to
effortlessly put logs onto the mill and turn the log to whatever position you need
hydraulically. If you outfit the unit with the optional power dog, you will only have to
leave the operators station to pull scrap and lumber from the bed. All of this saves time
and effort allowing you to be more productive all day long.

HUD-SON
The Hud-Son Edger 1913 is a great piece of equipment to help any sawmill owner be more profitable while saving valuable time. Anyone that has added an edger to their sawmill operation
has reported an increase of production from 30 to 50%.
You do not have to rehandle boards. There is no wasting valuable time setting them back up on
the sawmill. There is no wasting good lumber that could be saved with the use of an edger.
Each boards is edged separately to get the maximum board footage per piece. All this adds up
to more profit in your pocket.
The Hud-Son model 1913 Edger features a 13 hp engine, two thin kerf carbide tipped split saw
blades, one stationary and one movable, a two speed machine feed roller system accompanied
by a spring tension system that prevents your boards from slipping during operation.
A spring loaded lock in position spin wheel sets the movable saw blade for precise board
widths.
The edger is equipped with standard anti kick back fingers, and a flip down fence for boards that
only need edging on one side.
Your safety is top priority with the under saw safety guard.
A reinforced top guard allows for over the top return for quick re-edging, quick and ease of
removal of guards for lubrication and speed set change. The top guard can also flip up for quick
and easy blade change.
It cuts up to 2 ¼” thick and can edge a rough board up to 23” wide and a maximum 19” wide
finish board cut distance.
The overall length is 15’ with a 96” in-feed table and a 79” out-feed table and weighs 450 lbs.
The standard package comes stationary but a trailer package is available for easy portability.

The Hud-Son cable log turner is a great addition to your mill to help turn those
large hard to move logs or cants. The turner easily rolls on your track or trailer.
This allows you to center the turn on the log. Then the turner can then be rolled
out of the way without lifting. The 2000lb winch is located off to the side of the
frame at a good working height. Cable is brought through an adjustable top pulley allowing the user to match different size logs and cants. Another nice use of
the turner is that it can be used with irregular logs to lift one end if toe-boarding is needed. If you are looking to get the job done and take the back wrenching log handling out of it, the Cable log turner accessory can help you.

The original Hud-son Firewood Bundler, comes standard with wheels to make it
easier for moving around the worksite and for storage. It bundles firewood from
lengths of 14” to 24” up to 12”x 12” square. Firewood is wrapped using a standard
size 11” wrap available at many retail stores and of course Hud-son. Hud-son’s
bundler is simple to use. Firewood is loaded into the tray, once you have your desired
amount, it is ready to be wrapped. Wrapping begins by placing the wrap over the
bundle then turning the hand crank to start wrapping. Once completed cut the wrap
and remove the firewood bundle now ready to be sold. Has a working height of 36”
and has 1” pillow block bearings.

The Hud-Son 8M dirt screener was built with the landscaper and contractor in mind. It
works equally well with a skid steer or front end loader. The upper separator will remove
any oversized material and debris making the next stage faster and easier. The second
stage is a heavy duty 8 ft. by 4 ft. woven screen that will do the final separation and leave
you with a finished product ready to spread or load.
You will find the 8M to be easily towable to any job site. With a loading width of 8 ft. it
will easily handle a one yard bucket. Another convenient feature of the 8M is that the
operator can keep the upper separator clear from debris with out leaving their skid steer
or front end loader. Saving you time and money. You will find the 8M to be a reasonably
priced machine ready to handle most needs without a problem. With many different size
screens you will see that this machine can be used for many different applications.

The Hud-Son Lift Arm, is perfect for those heavy
lifting jobs under 1200 lbs. The Hud-Son Lift Arm
comes with a lift hook, and a hydraulic 1200 lb
jack. An optional hand winch or 12 volt electric
winch to drag logs or many other items into
reach of the lift can easily be added. It fits any
Class III 10,000 lb receiver, for those wanting to
bolt it down to a trailer or other item. It also has
a pre drilled flat plate. There is a two hole
extendable boom for logs up to 14 foot long.
The Hud-Son Lifting Arm comes standard with
1200 max lift, estimated weight of 375 lbs. hand
winch: 1200 lbs, 12 volt winch: 1200 lbs, a 360
degree swing, maximum reach is 7 ‘ 6”, standard 3 adjustable jacks are standard.
