Sonart is a significant addition to our line of innovations because it meets such a diverse range of imaging needs, from pulmonology to gastroenterology, encompassing advanced technology in an extremely compact system. That, in turn, enables
the most comprehensive patient care. The system is equipped
with innovative image processing technologies called ZONE
Sonography and Sound Speed Correction Technology, both of
which provide excellent diagnostic capabilities.

Sonart can be used in conjunction with our ottiuroond video
bronchoscope, the EB-530US, or the ultrasound video endoscopes EG-530UR2 and EG-530UT2. A bronchoscope visualizes the inside of the patient's airways, and the gastroscopes visualize a patient's digestive tract. Here's an additional click-thru

Three Employees, Five Questions
fust before the formal part of the interview began we
asked Thomas Baboyian, Senior Digital Solutions
Adviser, if there's an1'thing that never changes in his
job. "The customer is always rightl' he said without
missing a beat. But there's a lot behind the statement
that the nine-year FMSU veteran left unsaid, such as
the fact that it's his own skills and expertise that keep
his customers on the right track in the first place. In
other words, the best advisers are those who know
people as well as they know products. Like Thomas.
I.
just alluded to thefact that there may be tricks of
the trade that go beyond understanding Fujiflm technology. Is that an accurate statement?
We
In my position and other positions like it throughout
the organization you must have the ability to work
with people who range from file room administrators to CEOs. We must have the ability to listen to
customers and wait until they finish expressing their
thoughts, and only then offer them the right solutions
for their needs.
Thomas Baboyian relaxing with his daughter Grace qnil son Grant
4. Have you mentored any new employees?
Yes,I have. I mentor new Digital Solutions Advisers,
spending about six months with them to help them
try to be the best that they can be. Like with the annual meeting, it provides a good bondiqggpportuni-
2. And that's an ability you've apparently developed
weII over the years. What did you do before FMSV?
I was an x-ray tech for eight years, and then I worked
for Philips as an applications trainer for their PACS
system. I was hired by FMSU in 2005 as a Digital
Solutions Adviser, and am nowpart of the implementation team for PACS and RIS.
3. Sounds like you have a pretty hectic schedule in terms
of meeting with customers. Are there any non-customer-facing activities on your agenda?
The annual Digital Solutions Advisers group meetings provide a very nice opportunity to see my colleagues and get to know them better. That's always a
very nice change from the norm, and something to
look forward to.
working with'-customers face to face, being able to set
reasonable expectations for a successful project, and
to then meet those expectations.

Like most here at FMSU, Sam Selmaru has a fairly
long title: Zone Project Engineer, Zone 4. But he also
has a long list of responsibilities to go along with it
and a growing tenure within the company-going on
ten years by the end ofthis year. So the first question
we asked touches upon the way he deals with a long
list of responsibilities.
I.
3. Would you say that\ the
the position?
4.
joined the company in the
winter of 2004, starting as a Customer Solutions Engineer. Have
the tasks changed signifcantly,
and if so, how have you handled it?
You
The assignments and
obligations are always changing, and
that simply makes the job even
more exciting. What's more, with
the added level of responsibility
comes a great gain in knowledge,
and that comes in handy in severul ways, both on the job and off.
2. You were a computer programCar enthusiast Sqm Selman
mer before coming to FMSU.
What kind of programming did you do, and is there
any commonality to your current role?

Solutions Engineer and am now a Zone Project Engineer. Programming back then was one thing, and
engineering here is something else entirely. Now it's
much more dependent on teamwork. We have to pull
together to make sure all customer-facing tasks are
accomplished. Without cooperation and teamwork
from all FMSU departments nothing would be accomplished.

Go Green
The FMSU Green Team was formed last fall to promote
environmental awareness and responsibility. Comprised
of a dozen employees from many different departments,
the team will make recommendations for greener practices, develop ideas to encourage greener behaviors, and
endorse the green programs already in place.
"Taking recycling an extra step with composting, which
was one of the tearns first projects, shows a real commitment to global awareness and concern for our environmentl' says team member Lysa Smart, Buyer,
Sourcing Department. "I'm proud to be part of such a
forward-thinking companyi'
Recently the team reminded employees who work at
or visit 419 West Avenue, Stamford to use only compost waste bins for all leftover food, as well as for compostable trays, cups and utensils. There are five compost waste bins in the building: the J&D Food Court,
the warehouse lunchroom, the break rooms in both the

send you instructions.

FMSU participated in the 2014 Go Red for Women Employee Donation Program, which is an extension of an
existing annual program from HLUS Human Resources. The campaign, which benefitted both the American
